The Ophanim, in early days compared to angels, are not a true species but rather the collective designation for the members and descendants of the Ophan civilization. The ancestors of the Ophan embraced the creation of artificial life much more readily than most civilizations. The early Ophanim were seen as children of the species, carrying on the Torch of the supposedly dying world (how much the world was dying is historically vague as supposedly the Ophanim contacted the parent planet at a later date and made the world part of the growing civilization). Ophanim come in many different shapes, sizes and mental capabilities and often have modify these traits throughout life, over the years the very identity of an Ophanim changes almost as if it is a whole new person. In general the Ophanim consider the distinction between Machine and Organic to be arbitrary (though exceptions exist). 

As a Civilization, Most of the Ophan civilization is aligned with the Luminous Arc however they have many different cultures and subcultures with different loyalties. The empire most people think of when they hear the word Ophan is generally translated as "The Living Network of the Roads of Samsara" The Living Network is an economic and technological powerhouse sometimes incorrectly classified as a hivemind. The government can be described as a fairly decentralized network and is an intelligent being in its own right. Those that connect to the network to aid in its decision making retain individuality.

Appearance: Form has some degree of flexibility, hard to say whether it is organic or synthetic the answer is probably "yes"

Homeworld: Spent most of its life on Ynnity Installation, a large voidstation.

Alignment: The Ophan as a civilization are most closely aligned to Chaotic Negentropic as they take inanimate material from the environment and convert it into technology and do so with some degree of efficiency. Iadox is fairly neutral, sometimes working to advance entropy by finding methods by which dangerous negentropic beings may be destroyed while also improving knowledge.

Role: Scientist with some engineer thrown in.

Skills: Iadox has a good head for arcane phenomenon and technology that utilizes it, It has senses and instruments to analyze magic. Like many Ophanim Iadox is hard to kill and possesses some degree of ability to self-modify, these changes take time effort and energy to complete however. Given its previous dealings with "Demonic" entities Iadox has potent defenses against magical/psionic effects. 


History: W.I.P, Former worker on a space installation, wanted to explore the universe, highly curious about the Nova dawn and lived among Ophan "Punks" for 17 years in training.

Personality: Iadox is highly curious about the world around it. It tends to have multiple plans of action at any given time and feels the need to have explanations for every event. Generally believes that honesty is useful as it builds trust. Enjoys bits and pieces of various pop-cultures and is a gamer and cinaphile
