Well, this is shounen so that could work, but it wouldn't make much sense unless they're just metal slabs in the shape of wings. I guess it's sorta my fault for assuming, but I figured they'd be functional and just without a power source, which would require a LOT of detail that I don't think could be done unintentionally.
