Name: Gabriel Age: Unknown (very old) Appearance: A tall yet thin figure clad in an elegant and highly expensive suit. He often wears a top hat and wields a cane with a fine silver head, which he believe are essential accessories for a gentleman. His face is often hidden in shadows, save for a pair of glowing red eyes. His powers allow him to appear however he wishes to, and as such those who see his face always describe him as strikingly handsome. He may appear human if he wishes to, but if he does not he is impossible pale and possesses red eyes similar to those of a wolf. Occasionally those who see him report a long scar leading from the right tip of his mouth to just below the eye, but this varies with his chosen appearance. There is only one in the world who knows his 'true' face, and knows him by none other. Powers: [Vampire Physiology] As an Elder Vampire, Gabriel shares many of the traits of his kin. While many bloodlines have varying abilities (and his is particularly strange), many are shared in common by a large portion of the species. He is immortal and does not age. His body is able to regenerate from almost all physical damage unless his 'weakness' is used to kill him. He requires blood for sustenance, and requires no food, drink or even oxygen to sustain his physical functions. Gabriel's bloodline falls within the category of 'living vampires', creatures whoms bodies are not truly dead. His biological functions are still intact, blood still pumps through his veins, and his organs still function. He possesses superhuman strength and speed, although not at the level most believe he does. [Beyond Mortal Ken] The most powerful ability of Gabriellan vampires is their psionic prowess. While many vampires possess the ability to psionically entrance or even dominate their prey, Gabriel has attained new heights in this ability. With a gesture he can send an ancient vampire to it's knees, and with a thought he can turn even the most driven human into a slave to his mind. For many it seems there is no limit to his power, and indeed Gabriel always ensures that it is impossible to detect weakness from him. By crafting illusions and altering memories he has spread his legacy, and turned his one power into an infinite array of powers within the minds of his enemies. Most vampires believe he is capable of moving mountains with his mind and flattening entire cities through sheer force of will. It is this reputation of awe and fear that has earned him the title of 'Vampire God'. Weaknesses: [Arrogant Bastard] Having lived for untold centuries practically unchallenged, Gabriel has grown arrogant. He fails to dispose of threats and instead plays with them as if they were toys. Rarely does he use his powers to their fullest extent, and when he does it's merely to grandstand. He seems to value his reputation above his own life, and makes little effort to preserve himself. On occasion he has happily barged into the camps of vampire hunters just to grab a drink and leave. [True Weakness] Most vampires have fairly typical weaknesses, but many of these fail when applied to an Elder Vampire. He does not fear the cross for he predates it's use. The sun does not burn it for he has grown powerful beyond what it's rays can burn. And silly things such as garlic and flowing rivers certainly do not affect him. It is believed that stakes through the heart barely phase him, although considering his powers such legends could just as easily be a carefully composed lie. It is whispered, however, that he does have one weakness. One thing that would allow one to break free from his mind-altering powers, and strike at his true form. Perhaps, even to kill him. Of course, the sole evidence that harming him is even possible is a scar upon his cheek that never seems to heal. Nobody alive knows what his weakness is, and he has gone through great pains to hide the details.
