[@Apokalipse] ..have you read the OOC..? No... no, apparently you haven't. Because if you did, you might have realized that I'm not actually as selfish as you're making me out to be; you might also have read that it was stated clearly at the beginning of the thread that, yes, there indeed are a hell of a lot of characters in this roleplay. This isn't a fact that I have hid, in fact, I have mentioned it several times; along with the fact that if you are not okay with this, then this roleplay is most likely not for you. Over the last two years plus since I first opened this roleplay, the list of characters claimed have grown rather significantly, yes; but if you haven't noticed yet, or it might be that you have chosen to ignore the fact, I haven't gone out of my way to keep someone from making the character/s that they want to make. For example, I didn't have to give up Mulan... but I did. I could have played the bitch, and I could have kept her all to myself; but instead I didn't. I jumped at the chance to make someone happy and inclusive by giving them the character they absolutely love more than any other character- that's what I'm all about. Hell, I even jumped to give away Megara once someone had asked about her. To be honest with you; my character list for this roleplay is exceedingly high- I culled it down a lot for this reboot, and I have been doing it again (still) as I go along. Something I mentioned in one of my earlier wall-of-texts; ask roleplayers about their characters..! Ask them; express your interest in them- about any of them..! Because I can tell you now, nine times out of ten, you might be pleasantly surprised with the outcome. As my Co-GM mentioned, we don't just claim characters for the hell of taking them... that's stupid, and childish... and right here, right now, I will name the exact reasons that I have as many as I do:

People have left the roleplay, whether due to real-life issues, plain disappearing, being asked to leave, having thrown one of the biggest temper tantrums I've seen and making a bigger fuss out of something that they shouldn't, etc. A good portion of the time (depending on how early this is in the roleplay/ situation), this can be passed over, but there are times when it cannot. In those times, one of the remaining roleplayers will step up and take control of that character; majority of the time, that responsibility is left up to both me, and to [@YoshiSkittlez]. Example of this across the four of us: Merlin, Yen Sid, Ariel, Peter Pan, Simba, Tinker Bell, Red Riding Hood, Edmund Pevensie, Ratcliffe, Beast, Glinda, and more.
Someone has made a character (mostly in Rivenspire) who is from something or has something happen to them that sets them apart from the rest of the group. This sometimes sets characters up for isolation, leaving them with no interaction with any of the other characters that are in the roleplay. Unless there is a plan to have that character meet with another quickly in the roleplay, or for them to travel to a place more populated with other characters that they can interact with; this leaves the roleplayer doing nothing but solo posts. This roleplay is based around the interactions that your characters have with the others, so yes, in dire cases, I have made characters in order for this to happen. Example of this across the four of us: Sandman, Pocahontas, Simba, Audrey, Gaston, Kocoum, Glinda, Flounder, Gil, Wizard of Oz, Aslan, Caspian, and more.
Heroes come back; the villains fall. They all lived happily ever after... but do you really want it to be the end..? Sometimes for the sake of introducing new story archs, or for the progression of the current story arch, new characters need to be introduced. Especially in this roleplay. Sometimes this is know far in advance, and other times (due to circumstances) it could be something that is only realized a few moments before the roleplay gets to that stage. Not wanting this to stop us, and if no one else is wanting or willing to do so, it does sometimes force us to create characters in order for the story to progress. Example of this across the four of us: Lampwick, Hades, Persephone, Yen Sid, Merlin, Chernabog, Li Shang, Kocoum, Cassim, Elphaba, and more.
You say this roleplay is an easy one... well, I hate to burst your bubble; but it's not. This roleplay is complicated; the relationships and connections between the characters alone is something that would take me a long time to explain to you. If you're jumping back into the guild after so long of being gone; good for you, that's great, and I will happily sit here and work with you to make your time in this roleplay an enjoyable one. But please don't underestimate my roleplay... don't write it off as 'easy', and don't go around saying that my roleplayers, who are wonderful people and amazing writers don't deserve the characters they have, because I can tell you now that they do. Don't tell me to write a "Once Upon A Time" fanfiction... this roleplay is not that show, and if you believe it is and that it is going to be that easy, then again, I'm sorry but I don't think this roleplay is for you. Once again, I have said numerous times that there are a lot of characters, I understand how daunting that is, and how it could be upsetting if a character you wish to play is on those lists; but that shouldn't stop you from asking. [@YoshiSkittlez] mentioned earlier that he is more than willing to give a good portion of his characters away to anyone who is willing to sit and talk with him about them- so approach him..! And not just him, but the rest of us as well..! Don't just sit here and complain in the OOC; that isn't going to solve anything. We have stated that we are more then happy to work with you all; to do our best to get you the characters that you want, and we've also demonstrated that as well. There will be certain characters that we won't want to pass on... but the only reasons for that is either they are our favorite/s, or they are part of the original characters we wanted when we first began our journey in this roleplay. But as I said earlier; there is no harm in asking... and if you do, you will most likely be pleasantly surprised. Now; to continue on my tradition of ending my long rambling posts on a better note, I present to you, Tony Stark.
