The Aos Si have abilities that made them terrifying and dangerous to most humans. Etain retains these abilities, though limited due to her human heritage. Like all Aos Si, Etain has the ability to walk through solid objects, particularly the Sidhe, which are said to be portals to the "Otherworld" of the Aos Si. She possesses a natural skill with sorcery and magic, and is able to call upon the lesser beings of the Otherworld, those Aos Si who are most bestial, like the Cat Sith, Cu Sith, Kelpie, but due to her humanity, she can only call upon the lesser of them, and is still vulnerable to the more dangerous beings like the Fuath and the Sluagh. She calls upon the animalian Aos Si by way of a call into the open, which is said to echo into the corresponding point in the otherworld, and call them forth.

[b]Personality:[/b] Etain is a gregarious young lady, with a rather bright personality that compels her to toss herself into the fray of socialization. She's very friendly and easily approachable. She does have issues with abandonment, and as such can be a bit clingy to friends.

[b]History:[/b] The Aos Si of Ireland are one incarnation of various beings that inhabit a parallel universe to the earth, and who, while invisible to the common person, are able to interact with humans, usually in malevolent ways. The parents of Etain were a common working man who happened to stumble across a mysterious, inhuman but undeniably beautiful woman in the forests, crying near a river seemingly in mourning. After this encounter, the woman, who was actually a being known as a Caoineag, stayed with him, where she became pregnant with a child. However, it is said that those who encounter the Caoineag are doomed to a great tragedy and misery, and that was the case when the Woman decided to leave with the child, into the Otherworld. Some time after, the Child was born, a half-Human girl who was given the name Etain. Etain spent 5 years with her mother in the Otherworld before it came to be that she could not thrive in this fairyland, and thus she was sent out to go live in the world of humanity. Time moves faster in the Otherworld, and thus the 5 years that Etain spent with her mother had been 15 years in the world of humans. Etain came to become aware of the school and decided that a place to learn more about this world and gain better control over her powers as an Aos Si was for the best.

[b]Other:[/b] She can't cook to save her life. Her last attempt involved attempting to cook [i]waffles[/i] that made her hair and favorite pajamas smell of smoke for months. She also has a tendency to cry for seemingly no reason. It's genetic, and often she's not sad at all.

Etain possesses traits that are indicative of her heritage. Her skin is an inhuman pale, the purest white that one could imagine. It does not change color when touched or when exposed to heat. Even when hit or burned, her skin remains pure opaque white. Her hair is jet black, and naturally wavy. It hangs long, reaching to the middle of her back, and looks messy no matter what she may do with it. Her eyes are an odd case. Normally, Aos Si have pure white eyes, but due to her humanity, her eyes possess a slight color, being a very light gray iris yet still not possessing a pupil. She is very tall, standing almost 6 feet tall, yet inhumanly thin, very gangly, one might say fragile looking. Her favorite outfit is a beige, long sleeved shirt and a long black skirt.
