[@Caits] The pack (clothing and such) was dropped off after Miss Sally asked them to. When the pack was dropped, there was no mention of the food. (And that was after Thana had to deal with Richard and Miss Sally asked the two specifically.) - What Ash told the entire group to do was completely ignored.
