Welcome to Stars at War! A free to play, post-by-post role playing game where YOU get to control a star nation from ground up! Anyone can join -- there is no GM approval (I approve 99% of all nation sheets anyway) and you can immediately start playing the moment you post your small nation sheet. In this game, you get to control a star nation and manage all its aspects -- diplomatic, economic, political, and military -- from ground up. You can see it grow or you can make it as large as you want from the get-go. As you play, you will encounter other species/nations from other players and it's up to you as to how you'll interact with them. Will you make them your allies? Will you ignore them completely (like insignificant rats)? OR will you attempt to conquer them and make them your slaves? Or better yet, exterminate them? The nation sheet is simple. It is not designed so that you can write loads and loads of details about your nation (although you can do that if you want to). The purpose of the nation sheet is so everyone can understand what they're facing with cursory glance at your nation sheet. Nation sheet: Nation Name: Species's Appearance: General Description and history: Government type and societal organization: who are it's leaders and how are they selected? Population: Number of Planets and Systems: Number of ships: Alignment: Good, Neutral, or Evil? -- Is your nation's objective to terrorize other nations OR to harvest the bones of your foes? pick EVIL -- Will you attempt to help other races against territorial aggressors? Pick Good -- Do you not care at all what happens to your neighbors? Pick Neutral Primary Characters: list your leaders and a small description of their personality and history Technology level: -- Tier 1: godlike, omniscent; -- Tier 2: controls a significant portion of the galaxy and has access to exotic technologies like antimatter and zero-point energy -- Tier 3: controls multiple star systems and has access to cold fusion and warp drive -- Tier 4: controls only one system but has obtained space travel. for instance, you have significant colonies on mars and jupiter -- Tier 5: no access to space travel (basically, you have to hope that other nations come to you) (this provides a rudimentary understanding of your race but you don't have to follow the tech guidelines of each tier exactly) AND THAT'S IT. Make your nation sheet and hop into the IC today!!!
