I personally prefer playing them in release order but yeah, Peace Walker takes place 10 after MGS3 if I remember. I'd personally like it if they didn't go on with all of these Big Boss prequels after 4 wrapped things up but Peace Walker's pretty nice. It's kind of like MGSV if it had some gameplay variety, more boss fights, a final boss [sub](Well, two final bosses)[/sub], a neat plot, and actually felt finished. The fact that it was originally made for PSP does mean that it's a bit sparse in guards and a few other concessions so it might help to keep that in mind as far as expectations go.
