"[color=fff79a]Alrighty, let's get started![/color]" Leander said excitedly, pulling out his deck. Going over to a desk and sitting down, Leander asked, "[color=fff79a]Do you wanna go first, or should I?[/color]"

"[color=fff200]Either or is fine with me. Shall we toss a coin? Heads you go first, tails I go first?[/color]" Amelia suggested, taking a seat opposite of him.

"[color=fff79a]Yeah, that's fine with me,[/color]" Leander agreed. 

Amelia nodded, fishing out a coin flipping it. She managed to catch it and placed it on the back of her hand before revealing the result.
"[color=fff200]Tails. I'll go first.[/color]" She said.

Amelia: 4000 LP, 5 cards, 0 Mon, 0 S/T
Leander: 4000 LP, 5 cards, 0 Mon, 0 S/T

"[color=fff200]Alright then.[/color]" Amelia said, drawing her opening hand and glancing at it. It was decent, nothing really spectacular, but she could work with it for now. "[color=fff200]I'll set one monster face-down and end my turn with that.[/color]"

[b][u]Turn 2: Leander[/u][/b]
Amelia: 4000 LP, 4 cards, 1 Mon, 0 S/T
Leander: 4000 LP, 6 cards, 0 Mon, 0 S/T

"[color=fff79a]My turn,[/color]" Leander announced as he drew a card. "[color=fff79a]Ok, first I activate the Spell card: Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen. Next, by using its effect, I can Special Summon Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin,[/color]" Leander said, placing down the two cards. 

[b]Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin:[/b] Level 7, ATK 2300

"[color=fff79a]I can also Normal Summon Freya, Spirit of Victory, and now all of my Fairy-type monsters gain 400 ATK and DEF,[/color]" Leander explained.

[b]Freya, Spirit of Victory:[/b] Level 1, ATK 100 -> 500
[b]Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin:[/b] ATK 2300 -> 2700

"[color=fff79a]Battle Phase! Neo-Parshath attacks your face-down monster![/color]"

Amelia flipped her monster face up.
"[color=fff200]Gusto Gulldo. When it's destroyed, I can search my deck for a Level 2 or lower Gusto Monster and summon it to the field.[/color]" Amelia said, picking up her deck and fanning out the cards. "[color=fff200]I summon Gusto Egul in Defence monde.[/color]"

[b]Gusto Egul:[/b] Level 1 DEF: 400

"[color=fff79a]And because Neo-Parshath attacked a Defense-position monster, he deals piercing battle damage![/color]" Leander said. "[color=fff79a]So you take.... uh...[/color]" Leander then began muttering out loud as he began calculating. "[color=fff79a]Minus 500... carry the 4... 2200 damage![/color]"

[b]Amelia:[/b] 4000 LP -> 1800 LP

"[color=fff200]You're... not really good at math are you?[/color]" Amelia asked with a small laugh.

"[color=fff79a]Hey, I got it right at least![/color]" Leander objected. "[color=fff79a]At least, I think I did. Anyway, Neo-Parshath also lets me draw a card when it deals battle damage.[/color]" After drawing a card, Leander continued, "[color=fff79a]Now I'll place this card face-down and end my turn.[/color]" Leander then began to correct himself, "[color=fff79a]No waitwaitwait, I-I still got a card to play! Field Spell: Sanctuary in the Sky! Ok, there we go. Turn End for real this time.[/color]" 

[b][u]Turn 3: Amelia[/u][/b]
Amelia: 1800 LP, 5 cards, 1 Mon, 0 S/T
Leander: 4000 LP, 2 cards, 2 Mon, 1 S/T, 1 Field

Amelia couldn't help but let out an amused smile as he drew her next card. She looked over her cards, frowning before deciding on her course of action.
"[color=fff200]I play Magical Mallet. I'll return my remaining hand to the deck in exchange for a new one.[/color]" She said. She put her hand back on top of her deck before picking it up and shuffling before offering it to Leander to give him a chance to cut it.

Leander thought for a bit before making the cut at random, then handed Amelia's deck back to her.

"[color=fff200]Thank you.[/color]" Amelia said before drawing a new hand and examining it. She frowned for a second before sighing. "[color=fff200]My turn is over. There's nothing I can do.[/color]"

[b][u]Turn 4: Leander[/u][/b]
Amelia: 1800 LP, 4 cards, 1 Mon, 0 S/T
Leander: 4000 LP, 2 cards, 2 Mon, 1 S/T, 1 Field

Leander blinked in surprise, not expecting Amelia to give up so quickly. "[color=fff79a]Oh. Um, ok.[/color]" Looking down on the field, Leander explained, "[color=fff79a]Because Sanctuary in the Sky is on the field, Neo-Parshath gains ATK and DEF equal to the difference between our Life Points.[/color]" 

[b]Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin:[/b] ATK 2700 -> 4900

Drawing his next card, Leander then wasted no time saying, "[color=fff79a]Battle Phase. Neo-Parshath attacks Gusto Egul, and that should be game.[/color]" 

[b]Amelia:[/b] 1800 LP -> 0 LP
[b][u]Winner: Leander![/u][/b]

Leander had not been expecting such a quick win, and was silent for a moment before saying, "[color=fff79a]Wow, that was.... sorry about that. That went quicker than I thought.[/color]"

Amelia shrugged.
"[color=fff200]Gusto's have low stats, but a strong defence with their triangle of summons. But if my opponent gets a strong monster with piercing damage, there's little to nothing I can do unless I have Waboku or Draining Shield on the field.[/color]" She said before smiling a bit. "[color=fff200]But, it seemed like your deck worked well, though you need a stronger opponent then me to really test it.[/color]"

"[color=fff79a]Yeah, you're probably right about that,[/color]" Leander agreed. "[color=fff79a]Thanks for helping me with this, Amelia. What should we do now, though?[/color]"

"[color=fff200]I don't know, but I probably shouldn't stay here long. Aren't there rules against a girl being in a guy's room or vice versa?[/color]" Amelia said.

"[color=fff79a]Are there? I dunno about that,[/color]" Leander admitted. "[color=fff79a]Maybe there are, maybe there aren't. I don't really wanna find out by getting in trouble, though.[/color]" Getting up from the table to walk over to the door, Leander asked, "[color=fff79a]Want me to walk you to, uh, wherever you wanna go?[/color]"

"[color=fff200]I don't know where I would want to go though. The school is big but there really isn't much to do here other then to duel.[/color]" Amelia said, thinking over the posibilities. "[color=fff200]Is there anything you would like to do? Maybe go out and test your deck more? I wouldn't mind watching.[/color]"

"[color=fff79a]Hmmm....[/color]" Leander pondered deeply. "[color=fff79a]We could probably go back to the card shop again. There could still be some people working on their decks too.[/color]"

"[color=fff200]It's a shame they stopped selling cards for the Extra Deck. Now I have to save up points to buy boxes to have the best odds of getting the monsters I need for that part of my deck.[/color]" Amelia said, putting her deck away before standing up.

"[color=fff79a]Yeah, that's a bummer. I feel like some cards are missing in my collection, too, but everything seemed right when I checked it,[/color]" Leander said. "[color=fff79a]Maybe it's just me. Oh well. Let's get going.[/color]" Leander then exited the room, holding the door open for Amelia before closing it.

"[color=fff200]Thank you sir. You are a proper gentleman.[/color]" Amelia said as she walked through the door way.
