[@Flamelord] Let me see if I understood what you were trying to propose. You want more meaningful events that develop the setting instead of random battles like some of the past ones, right? If so, I have some ideas that might interest you. In fact, the next battle can very well be the one I scraped in order to open room for Arcadia since there seemed to be a demand for a battle with simple objectives and ample room for flying, which is why Arcadia came out in the shape it was. For the next battle we might do something focused on the Machina, since they need more development as a whole. An incursion on their lands that might reveal more about their society seems to be an interesting beginning.
Yes, though my consideration there is twofold. My initial intent had been for myself and whomever else wanted to come along to have some segments during the interlude that would help to flesh out the factions, which would not involve the GMs insofar as they would make sure we aren't getting off base with previously explained lore. While I was thinking on that I did realize that this far the War hasn't seemed so much as a war as it was akin to the Scramble For Africa, with the majority of mission types being fighting over unclaimed land. So some fights either on pre-established front lines or attacking into enemy territory would help give it more of a proper feel for the sort of conflict that it is supposed to be
