"Well, why not?" Jenny said, bounding over a rock. "The trees look absolutely beautiful under the full moon! I love it!" As if a bad omen or curse, the ground rattled violently under her the moment she finished her sentence. Azzurra was able to keep her footing, but Jenny was not so sure footed. "Ohhhh . . ." she groaned, picking herself off the ground and dusting off her sweater. Maybe she could walk off her twisted ankle? Then, bad luck struck again, and a rock flung itself in her general direction. Jenny shrieked and ducked. She most certainly should have stayed inside.
