Still bad aliens, undeveloped worlds, civilizations looking out for themselves blinded by arrogance and greed. The only good thing about this was Atlantis. It was the one thing that could fix everything. It was the only thing that tore her away from the shadows of the past and the fact that there were no goa'ulds here. Granted the wraiths were a whole different kind scary... It's been a few days they've been in Atlantis now, most of the commotion around the rising from the bottom of the ocean had passed. Guard duties were distributed along all military personnel and Clarice woke up from her nice rest after near 18 hours of guard duty. Some outworld teams have already been appointed and interestingly enough for Clarice, she was assigned to lead one of those. Because of the limited people they had, she currently only had 2 people assigned to her, a scientist and another soldier. She could work with that. They even had their first mission in a few hours. As she left the bed, her eyes glanced across the big wooden looking box that was placed on a nearby table. She was allowed to bring that by SGC, she still wasn't too keen on opening it. It held a lot of bad memories that still haunted her every sleeping moment. After moving to the bathroom and getting a quick shower, washing teeth and so on, she dressed up in her usual clothing and left the room. Her quarters had quite the nice view over the city. She loved looking at the sights. The moment she stepped outside, people nearly collided with her, they were sure moving to their duties. At the end of the day, this place was good after all. With a smile she headed over to the Mess Hall to have a breakfast before their mission. Entering the place she quickly moved to grab a tray with food and a glass of water, her eyes glancing to see of empty seats she could use. She noticed a certain familiar face from the files she read last night before going to sleep. It was Cassandra Reed, her scientist. She quickly walked over, the notification for the upcoming assignment to a team should have been delivered by now, but usually they didn't completely introduce everyone until the briefing for the mission. It was up for the team leaders to arrange the rest. β€œHey, is that seat free?” She asked, pointing at the chair n the other side of the table.” You are Cassandra Reed, right? Seems like we will be working together from now on.” She said with a smile.
