Looking for 1-2 people to do this with me, I already have myself and one other person. 

The J.G.D., Japanese Global Defense, was created to prepare Japan for the next world war. Countries were focused on beating each other in the arms race, who had the bigger gun, but Japan had a different effort. Recent studies had shown a new form science, so to speak, Magic. They found traces of this new energy in everyone, though it resided strong in some, and not so much in others. They quickly learned how to harness and control it, soon it was decided to weaponize it. The Japanese Government decided to form the J.G.D. in order to prepare for the next World War. They may not win the arms race but they will have the strongest advantage on the battlefield. The J.G.D. is a military program to include military training with basic school. This would replace the P.E. category and focus strictly on military procedures. They found it more effective to train as soon as possible. As students become older they are placed into different training categories based on their performance and scores, specializing in certain areas. If your entry scores pass the magic section you are placed into a completely different tree of training, one focusing on magic. This program is design to make the best soldier possible, a super soldier among regulars, one J.G.D. is equivalent to 20 regular militia soldiers, once training is complete. Japan will no longer have to dispatch a full squad of Special Forces, instead one J.G.D. is plentiful. This program will save on resources and ultimately give them the upper hand.

Our story takes place in the beginning of high school as first years, following Daizo as he makes his way from a dark past, to an outcast among others, to one of the elites in his final years. Will Daizo find out who killed his parents? Will he still be considered an outcast even after graduation? Will his friends follow him?


Simplified Plot: First year student, Daizo Koga, at Kanna Academy is in over his head when he finds out he's a magic user in a militarized Japan.

Abilities: Shoots regular bullets at first but later able to shoot different kinds of magical bullets out of his sniper. Also adept in hand to hand combat. 

Bio: Born in a rural part of Japan to average parents like so many others. His parents were slaughtered by magic users when he was a baby. Daizo was taken in by Major Koga, who raised him. When Daizo took his entry exams they found that he was proficient in magic, abnormally so for his age. To his dismay they put him into a special classes to help him learn how to use his abilities, however, he refuses to use his magic and is failing the courses. He became an outcast at school because he doesn’t fit in really with magic or non-magic users; Daizo focused on his military training pursuing skills in sniping and hand to hand combat.

-Parents murdered by government for failing to accept the draft. Daizo doesn’t know about his parents being murdered BY the government, only knows it was magic users who killed them. 
-Country preparing for global war, beating the arms race with magic.
-Their plan is to train children at a young age by including military training with general knowledge. 
-Twenty years ago the government forced a public draft system to force children away from families into schooling.
