Sorry, [@Amaterasu] , I did not mean to imply you were any less support. Actually I love your build and you'll be far more versatile and interesting than my own char. I'm shooting more for the single target raw healer type with secondary combat skills. And sorry, [@Sho Minazuki], for taking so long on this and I could still use some direction for numbers. I'm stuck with a crappy "smart" phone most of the time so I was up till 2 last night and still hadn't finished the first draft. And... I'm not a good navigator. Never ask me for directions. Where is the characters tab, thingie? <--- Argh, DUH! Sorry I'm just blind. Why and how am I even on a computer?!
Appearance Krysanthia has predominantly white feathers over most of her body with the colors changing to light blue, soft medium blue, then purple at the back of her head, and the ends of her primaries and tail. She also has a bold streak of bright red at the top of her head making her expressive crest that much more notable. These colors shine differently depending on how the light hits them and her eyes are a bright green. She is quite tall for her race and stunning by Rito standards, quite pretty to look at by the standards of most other races. Unfortunately she does not hold herself high and proud, usually head ducked and shoulders drawn in a reflexively submissive posture, an ingrained habit she is having difficulty breaking. Krysanthia does not have many possessions like clothes, very minimal by most standards. However she does own one tunic of a quality seemingly well above her means and she takes meticulous care of this one garment. The tunic is red and purple silk with simple yet elegant designs, multiple layers, and no traditional sleeves but stylish armlets attached to the tunic itself. It obviously has special meaning to her but she avoids talking about how she acquired it or why. On an average day, especially if among individuals she is not comfortable with, Krysanthia is submissive, reserved, lacking in confidence, just quite subdued all around. Recently, however, her close friend Anaria, a fun loving Gerudo mercenary, has been encouraging Krysanthia to come out of her shell and be herself and has met with some limited success. And sometimes, usually when a situation gets really bad unfortunately, her true colors are forced to the surface. In these rare moments Krysanthia frees herself from the ingrained role of meek servant and an inner strength and focused determination can be seen clearly in her eyes and body language. Somewhere deep inside burns courage and confidence making her a force to be reckoned with. After all it's not your everyday former errand runner that leaves the relative safety of the city to risk their lives helping track down the minions of Ganon... Biography: Krysanthia Runai was born in Akaala and her earliest memories there are some of her fondest. Her parents were kind people who cared about others and ran a small inn. In those days Krysanthia got to meet and talk to many different and interesting folk visiting the city. Everyone had a story to tell be it epic or humble and Krysanthia would stay up late into the night listening to them. It was from these tales that she first learned of magic and knights and Hyrule castle where the Hylian royal family lived and she often dreamed of what it would be like to live there. Perhaps she could become a knight and maybe enen serve a wise king? Childish fansies... Krysanthia was still young when her parents simply vanished one night. She had been asleep near the grand fireplace and there were no guests that night, the staff had all been sent home. She never once woke, never started at any sound that might have been a struggle. None of the neighbors or night watchmen heard or saw anyone coming or going. Nothing was taken, there was no blood, everything was in its proper place. They were just gone never to be seen again and the sudden disappearance was never solved. In one moment Krysanthia was happy and had loving parents and wanted for nothing, then in the next moment she was alone and no one could tell her why. Her life took a complete turn after that night her only other living relative being her uncle who was not at all pleased with the turn of events. He was a wealthy city merchant and by no means cruel but he had little understanding or love of children, in fact he had little love of people in general. Her uncle had a reputation as well and those not on business tended to avoid him. Krysanthia grew up lonely and unwanted with her uncle but she held on to her dreams and as soon as she was old enough she left the city that had nothing left for her and journeyed to the city that might have a place for her. Hyrule, while one of the most impressive places she had seen, had no need for aimless dreamers and it was not long before the last of her hopes were dashed. At first she thought she had made it in a big way getting hired by one of the most well known mages in the city, but he was not looking for an apprentice as she had thought. Instead she was to be a house servant and errand runner to a quite grumpy and strict old man. At this point Krysanthia felt the weight of reality and could only assume that this was the best she was going to get. At least he was a mage with a great library and cared little what she read on her own time. He even had books on the heroes of old and their great legacies. Reading these books sometimes made her feel like she was back home at the inn and everything was full of wonder and hope, but mostly they just made her sad. For years her life continued on this mediocre vein, with little to interest her besides studying books of magic and watching her patron in his experiments. Without realizing it she had most of the magic in those books memorized though nothing would come of this for some time yet. The monotony of this life was broken unexpectedly as Krysanthia was passing the military barracks and training grounds. Here she met Anaria, a Gerudo swordswoman with a surprisingly cheery and friendly disposition, as she watched the men train. Krysanthia was immediately impressed at how Anaria was a flesh and blood adventurer who had seen terrible things but still smiled and laughed so easily. For her part Anaria read people as a matter of survival and could tell there was more to this timid bird-woman than the first look told. Before she knew it Krysanthia had made a fast friend. More than that, for the first time in her life one of the Hylian men actually caught her attention. From that day on Krysanthia took every opportunity to get outside as often as she could and to take longer routes on her errands to pass near the barracks at least. In time Anaria pulled out the fact that Krysanthia had memorized whole books on the subject but she had never actually tried practicing. Krysa, as only Anaria ever called her, insisted that she could never actually amount to anything. At this point Anaria felt it was time to prove a point and did so by taking Krysa to an open training ground and making her spar. Krysanthia had never held a weapon before in her life but as her friend rained down blows upon her she found herself reflexively countering with more or less the correct moves. She could hardly believe it let alone understand so Anaria clarified it for her. "I,ve known you for months now and watched you since we met. Now all that time you've been staring at your man out there in the training yard all doe-eyed, you've been unconsciously picking up on what he's teaching out there just by watching, get it? You got a thing for mimicry, Krysa. Nothing beats the actual training but you held your own against me well enough so start having some faith in yourself like I have faith in you." She didn't understand how just watching someone could let her do those things too but she supposed she owed it to Anaria to at least try and do something useful with her life. Besides, if she never made anything of herself then what reason would there be for him to take notice of her? It took a lot of work and patience but they quickly decided that while she had potential as a fighter Krysanthia was probably not going to become a knight anytime soon. Possibly a bard but they couldn't seem to find anyone free that could train her in that area. That seemed to leave some school of magic as her best option but she could not bring herself to approach her current master who would likely not be very receptive to the idea. When the two of them stumbled upon Krysa's true calling they both had to take a moment to wonder why neither of them had thought of it in the first place. They had been sparring casually, Krysanthia intending to at least be able to use weapons should the need arise, when there was an accident nearby. One of the soldiers in training had gotten hurt and one of the Hylian medics was quick to the scene. Anaria was quick to point out that not only was it the perfect job for Krysanthia but as a healer for the knights here she'd be pretty close to her romantic interest, probably. "Just think, you won't have to stalk him from a distance anymore!" Anaria had teased but of course she had a point. The healers were more than happy to have a new potential member especially someone who already understood the concepts of both Orthodox and unorthodox magic. And like her parents Krysanthia truly enjoyed helping others so her training went quite smoothly and she learned quickly. For the first time in a long time Krysanthia was actually happy. Sadly for her and many others, these days were not days where happiness endured. The recent troubles first drew away Anaria who had been putting off the better mercenary jobs to stay close to her friend. But Krysanthia had come a long way since they had first met and besides Anaria could feel something was amiss in Hyrule and was anxious to get back out in the world. Before she left the swordswoman made sure Krysa had the best advice on how to properly approach and flirt with men and more importantly had built up the confidence to do so. The parting was difficult but Krysanthia understood and was ready to take care of hereslf and her own destiny. Sadly in a cruel twist of fate on the very day she had built up the courage to finally approach the Knight she had thus far only admired from a distance she learned he had been redeployed the day before. Once more she found herself alone with her hopes crushed. At least this time she had one person to turn to that understood her predicament all too well, her medical teacher. "Krysanthia, my dear, we are the ones left behind when duty calls to those we love. For me I must stay, and wait, and pray to the Goddesses for their safe return. You may choose to join me but you are still technically a trainee, the military does not yet decide the course of your life. Certainly not if I take care of the necessary paperwork. You could go if you wanted, track down your friends, or at least right some of the wrongs of the world by your own hand as they do. The power to choose is in your hands. I am neither the master of your life nor your judge." Stats Health: 2 (5 HP) Stamina: 2 (25 SP) Magic: 6 (75 MP) Feats Racial- On my wings- Rito can fly, causing immense grief for their melee inclined antagonists. Profession- Medic- 1 full turn unmolested As a medic with formal training Krysanthia can still ease the woes of the wounded even without magic. Given the opportunity and/or supplies she knows how to set bones, stitch gashes, properly bandage wounds to avoid infection and even treat common illnesses. ~Provided she and the subject do nothing else but focus on the task Krysa may fix you up for 2 hearts, though this would ideally be attempted out of combat. Spell- Gift of Life- 5 MP per 1 HP up to 3 HP Krysa may heal one subject on contact. Spell- Flow of energy- ??MP Krysanthia may restore some stamina or magic to one subject on contact (10 MP for 5, 15 MP for 10,20 MP for 15) Spell- Cleansing Gift- 5 MP Krysa may, on contact, remove a debilitating poison or disease from one subject. Technique- Disarm- 10 SP If she has successfully blocked a melee attack with her sword 'Balance' then she may disarm her opponent as long as they have struck at her with a weapon. Spell- Light- 5 MP Simple, elegant light. Normally a gentle utility spell Krysa may trade duration for intensity in combat and create a bright flash. This tends to distract anything with eyes looking right at it and has a small chance to temporarily blind the intended victim. Or some other poor sap. Spell- Pillar of Winds- 10 MP Krysa may create a pillar of forceful winds within 5 feet of herself strong enough to blow small creatures, objects, or herself into the air, allowing her to take flight immediately. This spell may also break someone's fall or let smaller allies to reach the top shelf in an exciting manner. Heavy objects and creatures are mildly inconvenienced. Spell- From the Brink- 20 MP and full turn Sometimes Krysanthia can't accept the finality of death, and if she can reach the fallen in time she may not have to. Any subject that has lost their last heart in battle may be revived with 1 heart once by Krysanthia if she can get to and devote a full turn to them.
