Carefully his knife slipped between the hard plastic and a very thin film, the make shift glue carefully being removed from the card nearest the picture. His tongue rubbed along his inner lip as he his breath stilled in his lungs and peeled the film back to work on the picture. The latter’s adhesive was stronger than the film’s causing him to make numerous cuts. Once done, he slipped his own in then ran his thumb over the film to flatten without staining it with his skin’s oil. His eyes narrowed in focus to ensure he didn’t make a mistake while he listened to Mairyell’s words. He had just finished his mediocre attempt at replacing the photos in the identification, his right hand flipped his knife back and pocketed it. The other hand gently caressed his thumb to secure it all together. After smoothing the plastic over, he took a moment to think over what Mairyell said. “I appreciate the assistance. As for this going smoothly, I’m honestly expecting everything to fall apart at the most inopportune moment and things to get rather complicated fast. So my nerves are very alert and why I came prepared with a teleport spell,” Charles explained while Mairyell walked toward the truck back, “Currently if we’re all using distort then I need to touch and trace a sigil into each of your chests in order to cast it. It will only take a few seconds, perhaps longer due to rustiness, but the effect will last up to an hour. Then I have to recast it.” Raising up as well, Charles gestured for Mr. Hagar to stand so he could the spell. He mumbled something while his finger traced at the chest causing his irises to glow a slight purple showing the spell’s strength as his Vis began to coat the individual. When done, he began to do the same for Mairyell still positioned at the door and finally himself. His anxiety jumped when the knock happened on the other side of the door, his mouth pressed tightly and watched Mairyell return the gesture twice. He nodded then followed the hybrid out into the cold air of the night. Charles eyes brushed to the sky above. He quickly noted the clouds take on a dark and sinister threat of rain, the weather difficult to predict much like London, causing him to frown at the possibly of rain. The day just continued to reflect his ill thoughts over the resistance’s survival as he stepped off into the pavement and walked behind Mairyell toward their destination.
