Devors' bottle was dropped on Elise's request, but moreso because he didn't expect the sudden shouting and accidentally let go. It figures, then, that it would spill all over his plug suit and nearly get onto the controls. The girl was making a big deal of nothing, Devors could handle a bottle or five before it started getting in the way. At least, he thought he could.

While trying to deduce the complex riddle of what orders he'd actually been given, Devors started flying off to the side. He kept an eye on the cruxi that swarmed the middle and thought to maybe stay out of the heat for a little while, making sure he was out of range and keeping the emergency shield close by just in case.[hr]Serah found the whole thing creepier than usual missions. The way they overwhelmed the Cruxi when they least expected it felt great, seeing the plasma blade slice clean through and all, but once they'd actually entered the Cruxi's tactical stronghold everything felt more pressured. An ominous feeling hung in whatever gas the Cruxi inhaled, if any. Maybe it just had to do with how different everything looked... At least Katya had given them the orders to really mess up some unmanned war machines, taking Serah's mind off of things for just long enough until they reached the laboratory.

Serah was stunned at Mai's sudden tonal shift again, wondering why she suddenly lapsed back into... whatever Seven was supposed to be. She kept an eye out on the area as Katya dished out orders again, surprised at the fact she wanted Serah and Mai to break through the lab. If they tried that, Jake's Drones would end up getting destroyed and they wouldn't get anywhere.

With that spoken, Serah had AA-XOTRY retreat a bit further back into the hall, acting as a wall between her companions and whatever was going to show up from the other side. Just in case, she had one barrier wing take a break from guarding Atty and float in front of Weisritter's chest, so their core is a little more protected in case things went south.
