After he sat down she patted his good knee. It could have been a lot worse. She mentally chastised herself for not offering to help him, but she also felt guilty for doing so. His was a delicate situation. On the one hand, he couldn't do a lot of things and did need help, but on the other hand, he was also quite capable and she didn't want to overstep her boundaries. She was glad it was just a little tumble that hurt only his pride. "I'm glad it's just your pride that's hurt. We can heal that later. Thank you, everyone." She said to those who were helping Ray. She saw Kris come over with food. Her stomach growled itself. Ray was handled and he had food in front of him. "Please, come join us. There's room for you. I'm going to go get myself some food now." She made her way over and helped herself to a plate. She was starving and there were few instances anymore where she could feed herself like this. It was like she was saying to Beatrice, it was important to take time to enjoy yourself and not get caught up in the daily struggle. After she piled her food on her plate she made her way over to her table again, careful to watch her own footing on the apparent slippery floor.
