There was something about cardinal directions, she recalled, as well as requests for protection. But whether or not she accomplished things properly, she wasn't quite certain. It'd be an experiment, a test of her ability to remember the words her uncle said during a seance. "There, that ought to do it," October beamed, before sitting across from her roommate, the candle in between them. "I'm not quite sure, to be honest...And there aren't any in my family quite like me, as far as I'm aware. No normals, but most of them are some flavor of witch or murderer." She seemed to not be fazed by her words at all, taking Carolina's hands, before glancing upward. "We call upon any spirits present...Make yourself known to us...We call upon any spirits present...Make yourself known to us..." she said softly, repeating the words over and over again. A chill crept over the room, as frost appeared on the floors, traveling towards the candle in the middle. The flame of the candle sputtered out. "Spirit, make yourself known to us," October commanded, without the slightest hint of fear. "Whether you are friend or foe, make yourself known." The temperature of the room dropped again, as the frost line continued to snake around. In a few minutes, it became evident that it was not random. Letters began to take form, becoming clearer and clearer as the minutes past. October watched in confusion, until the writing ceased. It wasn't just letters, to be clear--there were numbers as well. "Judgment Day," October read, looking at the words. "1 of 66." Glancing up at Carolina, she noticed the temperature of the room return to normal. The girl was confused, to say the very least, but thirteen minutes had already past. They would need to hurry down to the foyer to meet the others.
