Any who bore witness such an ominous sight would be excused if they got chilled to their very marrow. Even in a bleak realm such as Hell there were times when people knew that things were going to turn for worse, after all.

Not long after the star of destruction would crash through the windows of Hell's throne room, landing right about Balrog's feet.
