Gethin had been at TV for a few hours. “The Welsh Dragon” had always been an early riser, ever since he was a boy back in Cardiff. It helped that he didn’t really sleep much, it meant that he could stay awake all night and watch AWE live. It was a dream come true for him the day he was signed. He had spent years working the independent scene in the UK before finally getting a break in the Japanese circuit. It was there where he truly developed into the performer he was today. He found himself seduced by strong style and soon adopted it as his own way of performing. In the dojo’s of All Japan Battle Wrestling, alongside the toughest men on the planet, he created his Brutal Artist character. Pure bred Professional Violence was his creed, it was his code, it was who he was...or at least on camera that was the case. His days since joining the AWE had become pretty routine by this point. He would wake up early in whatever town they were in, find the nearest gym, workout like a motherfucker and then head to TV. One thing that helped Gethin stand out was his body, he was obsessed with staying in perfect shape and it showed. In spite of this, he was not a body guy, he was a workhorse; Gethin Rhys was someone who worshiped the actual craft of professional wrestling, the art of the match. His style was stiff, hard hitting and realistic but that’s what it was supposed to be. He had to convince the fans that he was legitimately beating the hell out of his opponent. If he couldn’t’ fool them, what was the point of it all? Wrestling was supposed to be a sport after all. Having arrived early enough the see the card for the evening, Gethin saw that he was not booked that night. That was fine, he understood that he didn’t need to wrestle every night despite that being his wish. So instead of working, he could help some of the younger guys polish up on their skills. Whispers in the locker room soon became hard fact as Drayden headed to ring to give up his belt. Gethin watched on the monitors during the emotional moment. He and Drayden had yet to cross paths in the ring, so he hoped the face of the company would heal as fast as he could so as to make this dream match a reality. As he stood watching the show, the Welshman heard someone of the younger talent talking about the tournament brackets that had just been put up, Making his wa back to the locker room, Gethin’s dark eyes widened as he saw that he was not only in the tournament but he was also booked to win the world championship. Of all the talent he could’ve gone with, Roddy was going to go with him? ”Holy shit”

”I’m not booked again? God damn” The redhead sighed in frustration. Suzy had been doing everything she could on the house and developmental shows to get noticed. She had thought that her Diana Valentine character was getting over but apparently not. Passing by Gethin, she made her way to the women’s locker room and sat down. She had spent the better part of nine months working her way from announcer to talent and no one seemed to take any kind of notice expect the fans. She honestly thought their opinion mattered in making talent but apparently not. She wanted to sell her brand and sell the superstars she could manage. Grabbing a notepad from her bag, Suzy furiously scribbled down her thoughts and feelings. Her notepad was extremely important, it was where the Diana Valentine character was made and it was where her ideas were kept. ”I am gonna do this. Just let them try and stop me”
