She seemingly spoke to the wolves, who quickly receded in baring their fangs, as they backed away.

The wolves no longer seemed hostile, but he'd heard of this before... They say that there were musicians and singers with the ability to enchant animals. If breaking glass with a high note was the pinnacle of a singer's strength, then commanding animals with their voice was the pinnacle of their skill.
