No I mean like: physically and narratively how does he facilitate the use of the combination attack. Does his Persona just stand in the way or something and channel those spells into a combo?

Nah, doing an actual god picture's fine (though technically the Vedic Vayu and the Iranian Vayu are completely different entities).
