She'll often pretend to be hurt in order to lure in her opponent and strike. She is as quick as a fox and will use her tactical mind to outsmart you. She may not be the strongest or most technical, but she will find a way to outsmart you. Kicks are her main way of attack and she does some high flying moves. Using her gymnast background she will twist around her opponent to dodge, deflect, or lock in a submission. Whatever it takes to win she'll do it. That doesn't mean she aims to make enemies out of everyone. She is here to show everyone what she can do. She is here to represent Japanese women wrestling. She is HERE because wrestling has been her life. In fact it is her life. She will show that she is the best in the whole industry. Shay Lee will become a name that will not be forgotten for years to come. The Kitsune will make that happen. During her entrance she wears a Kitsune mask and a Kitsune hoodie. |Face or Heel | » Tweener. She isn't a face nor a heel. She just loves to fight and will take on anyone that is thrown at her. She will resort to dirty tactics IF and only if whoever she is facing does the same. In her eyes, turnabout is fair play. You wanna fight unfair. Then she'll say, "I guess I'll fight unfair to." |Backstage Rep | » She only recently joined AWE, but she is very friendly and energetic. No matter who you are she will probably greet you. If she knows about you and is a fan she'll ask for an autograph and might even beg for one even as silly as that is. She still acts like a child sometimes often saying she feels like a kid in a candy store. She never thought she'd make it to American wrestling, but now that she's here she just doesn't know what to do with herself. Manami may not be that great on the mic, but she is very skilled in the ring. She is a ring general in the making. She is also very good at selling her opponents moves and has yet to perform the dreaded 'no-sell'. Seen she is so young she still occasionally botches a move, but those are limited to the high-flying moves. Her mic work is good when speaking Japanese, but she still has some trouble with her English so she avoids promos as much as she can until she gets better at it. |Other | » At a young age Manami was already practically thrown into the world of wrestling. When she was born her mother named her after one of the best, if not the best, woman wrestler ever and a personal friend of the family. Instead of watching children shows Manami begged to watch to watch wrestling. When she was four her dad and mother convinced her to take gymnastics. Her father had been a professional gymnast and he wanted his children to at least give it a try. At first Manami was against it, but when they told her that a lot of female wrestlers had been gymnast at one point she threw herself into it because she wasn't going to be allowed to train at wrestling until she was at least 15. She fell in love with being a gymnast and if not for her family being so involved with the Japanese wrestling scene she might have forgot about wanting to be a wrestler entirely. Yet, when her oldest brother won the major title of the promotion ran by her uncle it reinvigorated her desire to be a wrestler. When she finally turned 15 her birthday present was a special training session with Manami Toyota. After this day, the woman took the younger Manami under her wings and taught her what she knew. At the age of 17 she debuted in a small promotion that her uncle wasn't a part of. She refused to get special treatment because of her familial relations. She wrestled there until she got a championship and held it longer than any other champion for any title that that promotion had seen. When she lost the title she finally made the move up to her uncles promotion. That is where she made a lot of her connections to America wrestling. She was highly skilled from her training and her uncle felt she would be a better fit in America. He asked an old friend, Caiden Everett, if he would give a recommendation to AWE for Manami. Then the unbelievable happened. At the age of 20 Manami was offered a contract at AWE. The first thing she said was, "The Kitsune is gonna take America by storm." She said it in Japanese though. » Miyako Matsumoto
