Ppppft. Amateur. 45 days, long early winter is my current challenge. The trick is to feed people half rations when they're about to get very hungry, because just being hungry isn't a major issue. Use the worst stuff you can for your guys and sell everything else for the absolute essentials, and the shopping center is probably the best place to go once you have a pistol because you can [see the spoiler] with no negative consequences.

When the soldier takes the woman into the back to rape her, pick the lock, sneak behind him with either the sportsman or the soldier if possible, and stab him as fast as possible. No negative consequences for killing because he deserved it, and he has military grade gear, plus you can loot the rest of the place in a bit more safety. Oh, and saving her is a positive karma event.
