[@Kessir Tarkin] After reading over your character, I can re-affirm that I am not too sure about the idea of having a Varaxian as a part of the squadron. At the risk of sounding racist, I don't really want aliens to be a notable portion of the squadron- Elijah himself is one of, if not the only Harridan on the ship. There will be opportunities to interact with more Harridans and Varaxians throughout the course of the RP, but I'm not sure I want anyone playing one of these aliens. Also the idea of Varaxians being indoctrinated is an interesting take on their culture, but without getting too much into the politics of the Varaxian Empire, they essentially began waging war against the humans to unite themselves. Going into the meta knowledge of the universe: The Varaxian Heirarchy is similar to a cross between the feudal system and a clan system. The Empire itself is made up of a collection of these feudal clans, with the largest and most powerful clan commanding the most respect and their leader being the Emperor. Infighting and competition is fairly common between the clans, and typically leads to relatively rapid changes in rulers. The current ruler of the Varaxian Empire has been the ruler for much longer than usual, and is currently using the war against the humans to give the clans something to unite against- and thus extend the length of his rule. That and the whole warfare for resources and the strong over the weak shtick is what they live for- Varaxians are carbon-based just like us, and many of the worlds that Humanity has colonized would be ideal grounds for future Varaxian worlds. Anyway, Varaxians aren't indoctrinated into believing that they are fighting a defensive war. They are also aware of the concept of compassion- they are a warrior race, not tribal barbarians. The Varaxians are a cultural mish-mash of Turians from Mass Effect, Sangheili from Halo, and Kilrathi from the original Wing Commander series.
