Well to throw in my two cents, ether being used as a blanket term for the origins of certain abilities didn't bother me, because I honestly don't really expect complex explanations for that shit though I can certainly say I [i]appreciate[/i] them. 

The only beef I had with the Luchalliance was some of the characters had items/weapons on their persons granting unexplained immunity to magic and other barrier types.
