*grins*  It's not your fault.  These things happen.  I've never once seen a freeform thread ever make it out of the tavern without some form of confrontation.

Now, you throw dice at people and they lose control.  Then there's the very real possibility of failure or even death and suddenly everybody becomes respectful of conflict.

Heck, you want to try something really special.  Try playing a tabletop game where death is permanent and you aren't issued a new character when you perish.  That is absolutely terrifying and as a result damn intoxicatingly engrossing.
