Either-or, depending on which you feel more comfortable with.  Posting here would probably help group discussion and potential worldbuilding, as I will likely be constructing this world as we go along - first the lodge, then nearby Segaso City, then eventually the continent and then other continents, depending on how far the lodgers end up going in their adventures.

And, as an additional note for consideration - I'm thinking that the direction for this lodge will be as a place for the rest and rehabilitation of people with peculiar backgrounds that make them a little difficult for a standardized facility to handle.  This place would be sponsored by Cybertronics Unlimited, a robotics/cybernetics/electronics company run by a charismatic and influential CEO who wants to use the lodge as a PR opportunity to reach out to the community (or, perhaps this is just a way to get troublemakers out of the way...or put them in a position where the company can use them for some other purpose...).  This might give a little more focus when making characters.
