Gerhardt comes from a surprisingly dull background, born to a pair of farmworkers on the very border of the Grand Duchy.  They only dreamed to continue their family and put food on the table for the large family, though things changed when the firstborn, a boy by the name of Gerhardt, started showing some magical potential.  As quick as they could, the parents sent him packing for the Cadenza Military Academy.  He protested vehemently at first, he had responsibilities to his family that he couldn’t possibly abandon, though he ended up going after enough nudging from his brothers and sisters.

Given his past, Gerhardt his extremely dedicated to those he deems close and could be noted as putting in far more effort than most in everything he comes across.  He does this to compensate for his lowborn status that sets him at a disadvantage against most at the Academy.  He’s resolute, adamant about his views, and stalwart in life, though he has a short fuse and is prone to pushing himself dangerously beyond his limits.  Protective of those he cares for.

Gerhardt’s vessel, named Mystletainn, takes the form of a dinky, beat up pendant that appears to be made from brass and iron that hangs around his neck.  When active, it takes the form of an imposing and lightweight longsword that grants the bearer much higher agility and a slight magical resistance.  It also acts as a focal point for magic.

[i][color=fff200]Glowing Light[/color][/i] – A powerful ability charged by Mystletainn becoming stained in the blood of the evil and corrupt.  When unleashed by the wielder, the blade unleashes a blinding light that stuns enemies for a short amount of time and deals magical damage.

[color=fff200][i]Saint[/i][/color] – Putting his own safety at risk, Gerhardt can partially absorb attacks made against his allies.

[color=fff200][i]Lionheart[/i][/color] – A passive boost to Gerhardt’s regenitive abilities.  He can temporarily pass it onto others.  Not a substitute for proper medical attention.

[i][color=fff200]Knight Paragon[/color][/i] – Gerhardt is partially protected against dark magic and corrupting forces.
