She carries herself with a demeanour that often makes her appear fiercer and more arrogant than she really is. Her bright red hair is often tied up a long ponytail and she appears to not understand how to wear the Academy uniform's jacket properly. Bio/Summary: Anne Avery Scot is a curious case. As her name might imply, she does not hail from any sort of imperial family; indeed, her family background stems from another nation entirely. The island colony she calls home was previously colonized by the Alliance, and her father was a convict sent to work as an indentured servant in this foreign land. However not long after, the Empire took the colony for itself and thus Anne Avery Scot was born as a full imperial citizen in service to the sovereign. Yet the island Anne Avery Scot grew up on remained a curious mix of different cultures and thus what being an imperial citizen meant was lost on the young girl. That said, it was without a doubt boisterous and energetic community which perhaps explains aspects of Anne Avery Scot’s own curious nature. Yet on top of enjoying the high tempo life by - and sometimes on - the high seas, the young woman was also entranced with brimming curiosity about the Empire she served. Surprisingly, her upbringing made even the seafaring life of her neighbours feel almost mundane. Of course, she still greatly enjoyed the life, but her curiosity about the Empire and its nobility grew by the day. That’s when she heard of Cadenza Academy and the Imperial Military. It’s not like combat would be anything new for the young girl; she had plenty of experience dealing with many nasty, burly, ill-tempered sailors who frequented her father’s bar. It was her job to clean up those messes after all, and even beyond that she’d been taught by her father how to defend herself in case of an attack on the seas. Thus as soon as she was able, Anne Avery Scot was aboard a ship to the Imperial Heartland to enroll in the Cadenza Imperial Military Academy. In order to best fit in, she has acted in a vein that she believes to be noble. Unfortunately a mistaken impression of how nobility behaves and her own rough and tumble upbringing hasn’t exactly produced the most convincing facade. Nevertheless, Anne Avery Scot eagerly looks forward to the future and perhaps becoming rich enough to actually be a noble. Someone else will have to explain to her that nobles aren’t nobles because they’re rich. Vessel: Anne’s Bullion - A bullion coin made of silver it resembles the common currency of the island she called home: A skull and crossbones on one side and a ship on the other. It’s power manifests only after being flipped and slightly varies based on which side lands face up. The skull side will arm her with two flintlock pistols while the ship side will give her two cutlasses. As she has no real control as to which side the coin will land on, she often has to make due with whatever weapons she receives. Regardless of side, she’ll also be clothed in gear more accommodating for her style of fighting. Abilities: Bounty of the Ocean - The main ability she receives from her vessel is overall boost to her strength and speed. She’s a little stronger, a little faster, a little tougher when the power is active enhancing her natural combat abilities. Her speed is the most increased, followed by her strength and then an extremely tiny boost to her stamina. It is worth noting that none of the abilities are at a level that might be considered superhuman, but rather just enough to let her fight a bit above her weight class. The Locker’s Depths - A much more situational ability, Anne Avery Scot is able to temporarily access another aspect of her vessel’s powers by first submerging it in a natural body of water for at least few minutes. Upon removal she can activate her vessel to temporarily slow down the movements of all enemies around her as if they were fighting underwater. Unfortunately this ability comes with many caveats and drawbacks since it requires a natural source of water and the effect only lasts for as long as the vessel was originally submerged. In addition the power must be activated immediately after removing the vessel from the water which makes its use in actual combat extremely rare. That said it does have a practical use by also granting her an innate compass to the nearest natural body of water. Equipment: Anne Avery Scot doesn’t carry much with her, she has a compass and telescope she took from home as well as some spices she used back when she was cooking in her father’s bar. Trivia/Other: She’s poor. Transformation theme (when normal pirate music just isn't good enough).
