I wanna learn how, that's why I tried to do it on purpose when I thought...um, when I thought I saw how I could.  And it worked, too!"  For a moment she forgot being tired, just long enough for a bright smile.  It vanished as she remembered how it had done more than she intended.  "At least...it did a little...."

Of course the Dimuran was going to be ridiculous again.  "It's not a waste of energy, seeing a healer!"  Amuné frowned at Nymira, folding her arms.  "Mommy says you can't assume there will be someone to help you so you gotta know how to do first aid on your own, but if there's a professional then it's better to let them do it.  And going untreated can make things lots worse!  She always has to chase down some people for their checkups, because if something's wrong and it doesn't get seen to it can get worse.  Besides, a good healer knows when to let your body do the healing and when a bit of magic will help.  See, Adrian said so too!"  That last was very important.  Her mother was always emphasizing how magic didn't fix everything, and that there were drawbacks to magic healing.  Part of a healer's job was figuring out exactly how much magic to use for the best possible result between nature and magic.  And the princess was just being stupid, not letting a trained healer look at her.

She might have said more, but Ethan came over and asked if she wanted to be carried.  "...Are you /sure/ your arm's okay?" she asked, not wanting to have him hurt it if it wasn't.  Still, it didn't take much in the way of reassuring before the girl agreed.  She was worn out, and gladly accepted, looping her arms loosely around the man's neck and burying her face in his shoulder.  "I wanna take a nap," she mumbled, the words muffled against his shirt.  "Can I?  You'll wake me for lunch, right?"  By the time they made it back, the girl was sound asleep in his arms.[/color]
