[@Holy Soldier] Most of the items are easy to craft. It's not like I'd have him hunting for 26 diamonds, each the size of a fist, just to get diamond armor and sword. In his inventory, though, I was gonna have him holding some dirt and cobblestone, both easy to make cover for if he needs it.
