Magnus briefly turns his eyes away while replying somewhat defensively, "Well that's not EVERYTHING. My brain works similar to a super computer, letting me think and process information faster than just about anyone. I also have absolute control over my body, which helps in a lot of different situations." He turns his gaze back to Jin with a humble smile, "But you're right. My physical capabilities don't really compare to some of the students here. So maybe I'm better off making friends with people that'll have my back?" Now, taking his turn to lean forward in interest, "How long ago did you stop having control over your telekinesis? Does your suit help contain your powers or does it have a completely different function? Who is your father?"
Jin winced a bit, flashing him an embarrassed smile. "I'm sorry! That was rude, huh? My mouth is always saying things without asking my brain. I don't really get what having control of your body means though. I mean, unless you had some kind of injury or paralysis, everyone can control their body, can't they?" She blinked twice and smacked herself lightly in the forehead. "Crap, that was rude too! I don't mean to keep saying shitty things to you, I swear. Otou-san says - Oh, um, Deathstroke is my father. Sort of. It's a long story. Anyway, he says that I'm too impulsive and that it will get me into trouble. The suit is so that I can fight without having to actually use my power unless I need to. I've got weapons that fly due to -" She launched into a highly technical explanation regarding how her suit was wired, to channel electronic waves of particular frequency that she would control via signals in her gloves. "There IS something on the helmet that's supposed to help direct my powers. I've overloaded two of them even though he's increased the threshold double..." Jin shook her head. "Ah, I'm sorry! I talked too much, right?" [@Caits] "I'm on it." Kijani started moving at a steady running speed, toward the first building that she saw had collapsed. She didn't know enough about that kind of thing to really understand the structural damage and how to prevent the building getting more collapsed. So instead, she simply started to shift smaller parts of the rubble, doing her best not to make too much movement, but still get air to them. "If you're down there, just hang on! We'll try and get you out as soon as we can!" In her mind, Kijani felt somewhat useless. She was good at being strong, not solving problems. And especially not good at comforting scared people. [@Bright_Ops] Kassy was about to join Draco in the fight, but he handled three of the opponents so quickly that she stopped, startled. "Wow, that was -" She never got to finish the compliment, as a fourth looter rushed her. With an annoyed exhale, she let him come close and begin to swing. And then she was simply gone, invisible to the eye. The looter hit air. "Over here!" Kassy was several feet away and waving in a cheeky way. The looter turned quickly and landed a second punch. At that moment, the trick was revealed. It wasn't Kassy at all, but one of his own comrades that he'd just punched in the face. An eerie, disembodied giggle sounded in the looter's ear - and then Kassy shimmered into view and punched him in the back of the neck. Kassy flashed her teeth at him in a very brief, sudden show, and the young mermaid had a smile more like a shark. "Hmph. Stay there and sleep."
