Kresh decided to stay with Aya, leaving Kichi and the others to visit the humans. He was interested in magic and how it might work, though as far as he could tell he didn't have any inherent ability in it himself. The timid goblin he'd been speaking to earlier had stayed as well. He joined the other two on their walk to the tribe itself.

Kresh found one thing he had been told quite worrying, and it was clear when he said it. Would the humans have some sort of problem with the Elves, if they knew they existed? Kresh couldn't help wondering if the humans weren't all they had been made out to be so far. If Elves had to remain hidden from them, it might not be safe for goblins to be either. Kresh made a mental note not to trust any humans until they showed him a good reason to.
