However, it was only due to the actions of a hacker that the first nuclear bomb was sent out. Then, after that, it was only a chain-reaction as bombs and missiles were sent out until it was a catastrophe. A good number of humans managed to flee underground into the sewers and in bunkers. Those left outside were killed in the initial blast. But, even after that, the outside wasn’t safe. The large amount of radiation led to the overground becoming a… let’s just say: Bad Idea. Half of the humans fled to the underground in some attempt to escape the underground and return to some form of familiarity. (And to test out the damage.) However, many died from radiation sickness overground while some… some experienced some rather… startling changes. [i]The other humans decided that it’d be best to stay underground for the foreseeable future. But, that lead to even MORE issues when food and water began to run out and the restlessness began to set in. Tempers flared and insanity began to creep in amongst the population crammed in the sewers. In-fighting began to happen and some left to the surface after stealing food to test their own luck. By the end of a 10-year long period, the world population fell down to roughly 100,000 spaced out all over the world. Any food is on the surface and food underground is running low. People have split off to go on their own or in small groups. There’s no time for niceness. When you can only survive on the surface for roughly 6 hours before the radiation hits you and you become a goner, things like: Food, Water, and even gas masks become something humans are willing to fight over. THIS is where our story begins.[/i] [b]Premise:[/b] [i]I am looking for 6 other people. 5 would play as a small group of survivors aged anywhere from 8-19. Yeah, it’ll be a group of kids and teens. (19? Eh, still counts.) I would also be playing as a survivor. The group would start out in the sewers in their own little nook. There’s no power in the sewers so you’re mostly living off of candlelight and fire for warmth and light. What you do as survivors is up to you. I will be playing as one of you, trying to survive and such. However, I can only help so much. It’ll be up to me AND the rest of you to survive. Remember: You can only survive on the surface for 6 hours before you basically become a goner. So, we’ll have to scavenge on the surface to survive, while also keeping in mind that there are monsters on the surface as well as other humans who will try and raid our sector. Keep that in mind before you go sending people out to scavenge. Now, notice that I said 7 people were needed yet I only mentioned 6. Well, that’s because the 7th person has a very special role… as an antagonist. They will work as all the bad in the world. When I choose the person to be evil, I will privately message them with a list of their abilities as the antagonist. They will have a lot of them and will even be able to give their own ideas. Each ability costs energy and they only have a certain amount of it. However, as the days go on and they get kills, their maximum energy will increase and they can do more. However, every day in-game, the energy will re-fill. So, to my antagonist, your only goal is to cause as much misery and pain to the survivors as you possibly can. I know, right? Fun. And you may have noticed that I mentioned ‘gaining kills’. Welp, onto the next topic.[/i] [b]Twist:[/b] [i]This is an apocalyptic-SURVIVAL rp meaning that it is extremely possible that you could die if you don’t play your cards right. And there is no comeback from this. I mean, if another person joins later on then that's fine. Mostly? If you die, it's game over. However, you won't be out of it. You could, if you'd like, join the other antagonist and have control over any bad things that might happen to the other characters. OR, if you'd prefer a more protagonist role, you can create a new character and have them join the fight. All depends on you.[/i] And here’s a few extra bit of information that you can look over if you’re curious about other game mechanics. I may add more to it as the questions come in. [hider=Inventory]This RP is inspired by different types of zombie survival RPG’s. And with that in mind, I decided to add an inventory mechanic. Depending on what your wearing and whether or not you have any other means to carry items, determines how much stuff you can carry. In the beginning you start out with 10 inventory slots and 3 of them will be taken up by your 3 starter items. You can gain extra storage space on your person by finding a bookbag or something. You can also store items at the actual hideout however keep in mind that they are at the risk of being stolen during raids.[/hider] [hider=Location]You’re in the underground sewers underneath New York. I’ll be using actual locations in New York for the nearby locations so that it can be realistic. (Thank you Google Maps and research, I suggest you check it out.) So, keep in mind that realism will be a factor here.
