As many a philosopher will tell you, reality is subjective. It depends entirely on the observer. Objectively speaking, humans are obsessed with the notion of reality – of breaking it, of defining it, of wondering what might exist beyond the edges. Are there alternate realities? Is there even one tangible thing that can be defined as “reality”? How does reality handle the idea of fiction, of fictitious characters and things that should not be possible within the rules that we abide by?

These are the questions we pose to you today. You will have until midnight on [b]Tuesday, May 23rd[/b] to reflect on them and write a piece regarding this concept, its tangibility (or intangibility, as the case may be) and the various implications thereof.

 [b]The Fine Line[/b] – [i]Some may say that reality is entirely subjective. At what point does an individual’s reality become so warped that it seems a delusion, a fantasy to the rest of us? Show us.[/i]
[b]Buckling Under[/b] – [i]Throughout the most tumultuous times, the laws that guide our universe, our reality, remain constant. Sometimes with catastrophic consequences.[/i]
[b]Shattered Space [/b] – [i]By contrast, there are times when things get so bad that reality just… [/i]breaks.[i] Show us what happens when “the rules” go out the window.[/i]
