"I'm not a fairy. I'm Riley," Riley said, pouting childishly. "You're the fairy. A cute, fluffy fairy, with big ears." She reached over and began scratching Howl behind said ears. "After all," she reasoned. "Only a fairy would try to use funny word tricks to make others believe they weren't fairies." She moved her other hand to the cat's head, stroking it, then down to its back, and all the way to its tail. "Now, fairy," she said. "You are in my grasp.
