I can actually put it into a couple of words. Though I'll explain it a bit... Does humanity deserve to live, no? ...yes? Everything you adventurers do causes something to happen in the future. 

[b]Ex. - [/b]Say if you pick a flower maybe up the road now you run into a storm or a dangerous creature. Now if you didn't pick that flower, nothing would've happened. 

So, really the adventurers have to show Jakquel that humanity even as it gets to its worst is worth keeping. Though the adventurers don't know that till they arrive.
