	[center]She hails from Philidelphia, PA, and recently made her way to NY for a summer internship at a local Boy's and Girl's Club, where she hopes to meet others like herself. Her parents: Terell and Renetta Granger, entrusted her to the care of her aunt, 36 year old Samone Granger--Samone lets her come and go as she pleases, so long as she obeys three rules: get home before the streetlights come out, clean the house, and use her "gifts" wisely. She aspires to join the prestigious Xavier's School for Mutants soon (in truth, the letter has come twice, but her father does not inform her of their arrival.)

	She is like her predecessor Jean insofar as the two share a volatile personality, but Ivory tends to be far more loving than Jean was in her younger days. She detests the rejection of others. Her emotions are more fragile than Jean's, but she does not often get emotionally charged enough to randomly activate her powers as Jean did.

[i]A Long Way From Home[/i]: Anti-mutant sentiment is strong, especially in a place like NYC. During a confrontation with an attacker, she unleashes her powers and devastates a strip of the city. A proverbial target is put on her back by police, villains, and the Brotherhood alike who want to take her into custody or use her for their own means.

[i]Mr. Xavier[/i]: She finally gets to join Xavier's School for Gifted Mutants where she meets the offspring of several iconic X-Men characters and goes on missions assigned to her by Xavier.

[i]Daughter of Sam[/i]: She is captured by a rogue "government" agency and experimented on, perhaps turned into a villain.

[i]Birth of a New Era[/i]: She forms her own team of young mutant vigilantes and they go around fighting petty crime in the streets.
