Ya'll motherf#@!ers asked for character sheets, so here's a few char sheets.
Appearance: Name:
Hazel Witchbane, PhD
Age:
27
Brand:
Mist
Weapon & Rune (if they have one):
Hazel doesn't need a personal weapon, as she always has her friends and pets around. However, whenever she does have to fight, she keeps a dagger on her person with an earth rune, for creating additions to her statuary garden.
Faction:
Hazel doesn't kowtow to any group or faction. However, she is receiving help from an enigmatic second party. She doesn't ask questions, and they provide her with bodies and revenue for her experiments. She has ties to the White Tooth as well.
Personality:
Hazel, when you meet her in the clinic, is sweet and professional. She's never without her manners and poise, and one can tell she comes from a family entrenched in old money and older blood. However, beneath the thin veneer of outside appearances she puts on, the good Dr. Everbright is a much darker person, with darker interests. If one is privvy to what she does in her private hours, she has a taste for the finer indulgences in life. Sex, alcohol, ethers, vapors to enhance and mystify the senses... but perhaps the most offputting thing about the good doctor is her odd fascination with life, death, and mortality. One might get the sense that she's a doctor not just because she enjoys preserving the miracle of life, but because she enjoys watching the slow and steady progress of death all the more.
Background:
Hazel comes from a family of merchants, traders artisans working their way up into a noble house through generations of hard work and more than a little cutthroat back alley business. Whether through legitimate channels or through illegitimate means, the everbright family has fought to ensure its future. This all came to a head of course with the onset of magic, and the birth of Hazel, first daughter and heir to the throne of the Everbright fortune. Of course, trusting the girl to nannies and her schoolteachers, her parents scarcely heard or cared about her interests and the odd happenings that surrounded her childhood. Dead neighborhood pets, rituals in blood in the girls room, none ever tied to her because of her status, but there were doubts... rumors. When the girl came of age, she was the only one in her family to survive the sudden pox that descended on the Everbright house. Most assumed it was a wizard that had constructed a plague, a disease meant to eradicate the criminal house that had slighted him... none suspected the young girl, the only survivor, to be the one that offed her family. Now set with a mansion in the capital, a fortune to spend on whatever it is her dark heart wants, and nothing but time. Perhaps one day someone will stop her, but until then, dark happenings will continue to haunt the nights of New Wickbourough.
Other:
Generally, she's a villain character.

Appearance: Name:
Kordan Dirkwood, or Rocketman, if you're one of New Wicksborough's lowlives
Age:
23
Brand:
Kordan got his storm brand at the young age of 13, and promptly used it to disastrous effect. He's also recently acquired a second Brand from a young amalgamate. It allows him to control constructs of living fire.
Weapon & Rune (if they have one):
Kordan doesn't use a weapon as one would traditionally would. Instead, he's got a suit of integrated armor, with a plethora of storm runes around, with most of his offensive and defensive capabilities fueled by twin cannisters of liquid lightning on his back.
Faction:
Kordan obviously has ties to the Universal Machine. He has contacts inside that help to supply him with technology for his various nightly misadventures
Personality:
Explosive, Brash, Charismatic and Altruistic are all words that can describe Kordan. Kordan's a free spirited vigilante that takes the law into his own hands, and he does so by fulfilling his pyromantic fantasies. By day, he's a free spirited youth exploiting his father's fortune for personal frivolity and power, proprietor of a chain of hotels that keep his pockets lined with money. By night, however, Kordan is a fiery spirit of vengeance that goes after those who would prey on the weak and exploited. He's more interested in fulfilling his own fantasies than justice, but that doesn't matter if you're one of Kokotha's worst. The Vigilante known as Rocketman is famous for a high profile string of murders, arsons, and disfigurement of many of Kokotha's underground establishments, targeting smugglers and mob members specifically. To those he would protect, Kordan is a saint. To those he would destroy, a demon. Best to find a side.
Background:
Kordan is a serial arsonist. He's a pyromaniac with a strong urge to light shit on fire. Being a noble's son, this didn't go well. After setting the family house on fire, he vowed to turn his curse into a blessing. Using the family fortune, he bought a few hotels and left those on autopilot, and then used his money to make his crimefighting rig. As he's a magic user ala the kokotha campaign, he wanted to use it for good. Thus, he became a vigilante, hunting down smugglers, mafia, gangsters, and setting them and their hideouts on all of the fire. He would have killed Gregor had he not lost that fight Patches, which is why I had him lose. In his mind, he's doing a good thing, and for the crimerate he is, burning out the scum and corruption in his city. But he is very much a pyromaniac vigilante who frequently lights buildings and people on fire just to do it so he can watch. If the crime rate ever drops to nothing in new Wickborough, he'd have to move cities, or else he'd just start causing random fires because he needs to.
Other:
Anything that doesn't fit into the other categories, maybe a fun fact about them.
