Lyra heard the claps first, and then the voice, which sounded like a curious sort of compliment. It took her a couple more seconds before she noticed that they were for her. Blinking, she struggled to take her eyes and mind off the stones that was a mosaic that was a wall, just enough to see the girl who was now next to her. She was blonde, and seemed to be her age. That surprised her, a bit. She thought the compliment sounded like something from an adult. Or a fine lady. "Oh, ah. Thank you," Lyra said. There was another thing the girl was saying aside from the compliment. A question? Something about the music. Lyra took the bow of her violin off the strings, so she could take a look at it. She couldn't really remember what prompted her to bring the violin out. "Ah. Hmm. I don't know. I'm not sure what I was playing, really." She turned to the girl. There was something bright about her, not in a happy or cheerful sort, although she does look happy, but just bright, like the sun is bright. A student in an elemental academy who looks bright. Ah. "You're a light elemental, aren't you?" Lyra asked curiously. "Are you a student here too?" She did not at all notice that the violin was still making faint music, as if humming, even after she'd stopped playing.
