Alright, I got the newest villains for the Potterverse... The Knights of the Round Table. *dodges the thrown objects* Hold on, let me explain how the most iconic heroes of western literature could be bad guys! Merlin is real in Harry Potter. That means King Arthur and his tales are also real. For those of you who've read the legends, Merlin is one of the VERY few magical forces on the side of Arthur and his Knights. So many adventures involve evil spellcasters, or enchantments, or illusions, or curses. Culwhych and Olwen, Gawain and the Green Knight, the begoting of Mordred, the trials of Lancelot, and countless other tales... Magic is a tool to hinder or hurt the Knights. It's unnatural and unholy to Arthurs Christian Kingdom. It has helped in the past, but barring Merlin, Arthur and Co never really meet a friendly magic user. The two biggest ones, Nimue and Morgan Le Fae, actively seek the downfall of Camelot. Fast foward a dozen or so centuries. The organization has never died out. For centuries, the Knights of the Round Table existed in some form or another, actively seeking to protect the British Empire from the scourge of magic. On ocxasion, they've been forced to work together for the greater good with their magical others. But ultimately, the only good witch has only ever been a dead one. Cue the present day. Grindelwald started ww2. Voldemorts began a new reign of terror that plagued Britain for years. The Knights, all muggles, but with the resources of a former empire at their disposal, have convened the Round once more. Enough power has been gathered on their side. They have the armaments to strike. They have the intel. Now, they must finish their Order's centuries long task. The witches and wizards of Britain must be driven out. The blood of Morgana Le Fae cleansed from British soil. For only then will Arthur wake from his accursed slumber in Avalon, and return to forge The Kingdom of Camelot. Thoughts?
