He is somewhat a typical old man in that he has grown cynical, but not because of time or regret.A loving old man, caring for the younger members in his charge, whenever and whomever they may be. He tends not to take the lead on anything and prefers to let other people do it. He is sometimes senile, owing to his age and general forgetfulness. In his twilight years, he is prone to a much slower approach to things; he prefers to take the scenic route instead of the route that is the most efficient. He also prefers taking a rest whenever possible. Sometimes he does have thoughts of using his purifying magic to invigorate his ailing body, but often decides against it in light of his belief that if he were to use his magic for selfish reasons, he'd be no better than the ecclessia.
L I F E E X P E R I E N C E S

He had seen the corruption in the ecclesia and had grown wise to their deceit after being a member himself for some time. With their dictatorial hand gaining more power, Olorin set out to stop them--whether he could do it by himself he did not know. He presumed not, but he had to try. There were few of his generation who saw through government's faux religiosity, many too indoctrinated from decades of service to open their eyes. Olorin was not one of them, and he would assure that the generation below him did not become like those who had submitted themselves to the church because they were sick of fighting, or too old or too tired to try. This same fire was present in him during his own youth. He dreamt large--of peace for the ailing, of love for the romantless, of nourishment for the hungry. Above all else, Olorin sought to ease the anguish of those around him. 'The Selfless' was an unofficial title of his, an accurate representation of his character. Unfortunately for Olorin, and for all of Iquenos, darkness came--it always does. Wretched black despair forever around the corner to ruin the dreams of the innocent, and extinguishing the hope of the meager. The usurpers had taken the throne when Olorin was a young man, and while he was still a member of the church. Optimism died. Youth's flames fanned. He had become disillusioned, and in secret he had tried to spread this message to those poor sheep who did not want to listen. In all his years as a resident of Iquenos and a practitioner of magic, never had he known such treachery. To murder the regency in their homes? Soulless, cowardly bastards. This was no brotherhood. This was no house of the gods. They could have it, all of it. Fire re-kindled, he would see to it these tyrants got their due, if it meant it was the last thing he would do for his countrymen.
E L E M E N T A L A F F I N I T Y

Sanctus.
A T T R I B U T E S

Quarterstaff, wand, set of golden robes, wedding ring,
Both, And: Olorin has become proficient in using items and the natural world to evoke his magic. His quarterstaff is the main artifact he uses to channel his magic, but he does not need it to cast more powerful spells, though they may make take more time if used without the staff. He also carries a more portable and more practical wand upon which he has embedded a secret magical language that if spoken, will produce an effect known only to him. Good One, Old Man!: A jolly old fellow, he fancies a good joke and a tub of drink. He does attempt a joke of his own, but he no longer has his finger on the pulse of relevancy, and often his age shows when he tells jokes from old. One Day, Young Sap: Olorin is, as one may expect, a possessor of sagely wisdom. His many years in the field as well as a decade of service underneath the Inquisitors have shaped his knowledge of magic and the natural world to supreme heights. He shares this wisdom with young people any chance he gets. Head Up, Back Straight!: He does not like to see young people doubt themselves, and his is prone to succint switches in mood (from jolly to stern) if he senses the slightest hint of doubt it one of his younger magi. Still Packin': Olorin is quite a hoarder, and he carries on him several pouches with all kinds of magical assortments: healing potions, balms, a list of bogus Sanctus spells, a scribbled notes, etc.

Beginner Level Sanctus Spells
Luminous: Quite like it sounds, Olorin can light up an entire room with the waft of a hand. He can keep it active for quite some time. It has a harder time piercing shrouds of magical darkness, depending on the skill level of the one who casts the darkness spell. Holy Hand: One of Olorin's many healing spells. This one is minor and requires him to touch one who he is trying to heal in order for it to take effect. Blessings: By invoking one of the various goddesses of light, Olorin can bestow a temporary shield that protects the recipient from physical attacks and magic damage for a time. It is doubly effective against unholy and dark/corrupting magic. While in the shield, it radiates light in a circumference and brightens the path before the protected. Revitalize: A stronger healing spell that instead rejuvenates the very life-force in a dying body. Not to be confused with resurrection, it is only made for stabilizing the dying.
An assortment of other beginning level Sanctus spells. Advanced Level Sanctus Spells
Holy Voice: Olorin can destabilize dark energy and dark nexuses with his voice. When he usees this spell, all dark matter within an area is eradicated, but any damage done to the natural world as a result of the darknesses' presence is not reversed. Divine Territory: Olorin can create a small nexus of purifying holy light. Anything that enters this marked territory is cleansed and purified, and/or destroyed if it is dark. Any marked divine territory is blessed for an hour and after, the entire territory is rejuvenated and becomes harder to corrupt by dark energies again. Pure Healing: One of Olorin's most powerful healing spells. Unlike Holy Hand, Pure Healing fully regenerates one's health and has the ability to destroy malignant viruses and diseases within one's cells. It restores the sickly and can bring one from the brink of death. Impurity Destruction: Any dark forces are obliterated completely once Olorin has had sufficient time to charge this specific spell. Upon casting impurity destruction, the destroyed entity is for all intents and purposes permanently cleansed from the temporal realm unless re-summoned by a superior dark entity.
Several other advanced level Sanctus spells. Master Level Sanctus Spells
Malignance Nullification: Olorin can rebuff attacks against him that contain even the slightest hint of dark energy and dispel them. He can effectively riposte the attack with a light attack of his own at a greater cost than the initial spell cast. Maelefic Force Suppression: Olorin can dim the effectiveness of dark energies enough that their corrupting properties cannot effect anyone it comes across. It does not effect the evil being who cast the spell, only the spell itself. Divine Sight: After several hours of prayer, Olorin gains the ability to see holy beings themselves as a means of guidance. While active, Olorin can speak to these angelic beings for some time, though he only maintains fragments of what the beings say back to him. Divine Tongue: Olorin can understand, communicate, and translate animal languages and the languages of divine and unholy beings alike. He can adapt his tongue to whatever entity to whom he speaks, though he does not retain the information for long periods of time after this spell wears off. A few other Master level Sanctus spells.
