Derrick thought about the statue for a moment. It was a wildcard in this situation, and that wasn't a good thing to have around. If they really wanted to make an effective move, they'd need to know if it was going to get in their way, but how to do that?

As the others discussed what to do, Derrick quietly moved to a better position to inspect the statue. Its eyes were glowing and it had a strange pattern on its chest. Derrick stared at it a little, then moved left and right, before moving behind it where he would theoretically be out of sight, watching its eyes as he did. If they followed him even behind the bookshelf then it would probably cause some trouble for the hunters.
