Vera cocked her head at the teacher's mischievous smirk, foreseeing that her answer to Lyra's question wasn't going to be simple. Sure enough, it seemed rather vague to the Light Elementalist, implying that there wasn't a fixed, step-by-step guide for Wind Elementalists on how to fly. So it was something quite special for them, and apparently so was Lyra's potential sound ability. "Ms. Catherine Hargreaves," Vera repeated with a light smile after the graceful woman introduced herself. "It's a pleasure." She then turned to Lyra. "Yes, it's you doing that, love. You should really check out this sound gift of yours, it'll probably be really interesting." Vera was curious about the different areas that Light Elementalists could possibly specialize in. She could produce white beams of light from her fingers, but they always came out as short bursts, flickering excessively and somewhat irregularly. They were also really bright. Perhaps her gift was causing temporary blindness. Hilarious. Vera addressed Catherine again. "Oh, would you happen to know anything about the light element? Or is there anywhere I can go to get some help on that?" [@Pseudo Stygian] [@Stern Algorithm]
"All the best, kiddo..." Xavier trailed off as the girl left. Ah well, she'll be fine. He strolled off in the opposite direction, finding the first day to be rather uneventful, or perhaps he simply wasn't where the excitement was. He only passed by three teenagers talking along the corridor. One of them was coughing, but he just took a second glance and then decided that the boy would be alright. He then spotted one of his colleagues going into the restroom further down. Manilow... wasn't he the one who was stuck with giving that welcome speech this year? That would be interesting. After all, the guy was pretty good at umm... motivating the students. Maybe he'd go back to his office for now and do some lesson preparation, or take a short power nap.
