She had not meant to erupt like that. She had little idea why it had happened. It may have been due to all the feelings she had locked up in her heart. After she had left her Grandfather’s villa in Paris, all sorts of thoughts had drifted in her mind. Guilt, shame, fear. She had not wanted to let them out. It would have made traveling alone all the worse. Seeing the headmaster’s ghastly wound had stirred something in her heart. Tears had started to flow before she had realised it. All the feelings locked up suddenly demanded getting out, being expressed. Although she had not noticed it, they were still there. As she had tried to force the fire out of her fingertips, the lock on the gates of her heart had broken. She had momentarily forgotten about her pain chatting with Silas. Now that the feelings had quite literally exploded out, Zafiriel felt oddly calm. Maybe it was the presence of other people. She took in a few deep breaths and let them out as a continuous stream. As she calmed down, the colour of her face returned back to what it had been, almost as pale as marble. You could still see a hint of rosy tint on her cheeks. ”Um Y-yeah we're fine, thanks for coming along when you did.” Silas’s words drew Firiel back to reality. Suddenly she became aware of how close she was to him. She could almost feel his breath on her neck. As the other girl started to speak, she quickly perked her head up to look straight forward trying to prevent that damned blush from creeping back on her face. ”Yeah, I'm lucky I was born a wind elementalist so I could just blow all that smoke away with my power,” said the girl. ”Though it seems it wasn't a fire that caused it, as I didn't see any smoke coming out from anywhere else.” Firiel felt her gaze burn her forehead. ”Uh, were you the one that made all that smoke, miss?” - ”Was she the one who did it?” ”I-it's alright, I won't be mad. Just asking, that's all. I can't control my power fully either. You should be able to feel a small breeze of wind circling around me right now.” There was something about the girl that made Firiel feel at ease. Maybe it was because she seemed to be as nervous as Firiel herself was. As the girl mentioned the smoke accident, Firiel had a good first look at the barren hallway. The walls, before so vibrant in colour, were now coated under a thick layer of soot. The windows were patched with ash, letting occasional flashs of light escape through themselves. It was like a whole different place. Firiel could see the darkness she had dwelled in all around her. It was almost fascinating. However, she felt extremely guilty that she had drawn Silas in the fog of her heart for a moment. Firiel threw a quick glance at the boy sitting beside her. She was relieved to see him breath with ease now that the ash had settled. Firiel brought her attention back to the girl still awaiting answer. Not wanting to cause Silas more trouble, she firmly decided to answer the girl herself. She locked eyecontact with Kanako, and, moments after, opened her mouth. ”I was broken. It was me – ” She stopped for a moment to find the right words in English. It took her awkwardly long to finish her sentence. She could feel both of the other teens stare at her in anticipation. The girl was shifting her gaze between Firiel and Silas, as if contemplating what was going on between them. Firiel broke the awkward silence. ”Pardonnez-moi. I did not do it. I did it. C'était un accident.” When she raised her gaze, she saw another close-up on the girl’s panties. ”Mon Dieu!” She was so shocked at the view that she lost hold of the arm that she had balanced her weight on, causing her to drop her upper body in Silas's lap. All too soon, she found herself staring up at a pair of golden eyes. Quickly, she tried to get up, only to end up crashing down again. A giant puff of steam threw itself on Silas’s face as her face exploded to a bright crimson colour yet again.
[@CriticalHit] [@Hammerman] Cringy af but hey, got it done.. :lol
