"Well, turbine engines are more direct and generate more torque but they also get much hotter and wear out quicker.  At about 75 grand a piece they are very expensive but make like 7,500 to 10,000hp each.  Internal combustion you can get for around 45 or 50 grand each at 5,000 to 6,000hp, they rev up to like 10,000 rpm while the turbine will run upwards of 30,000 rpm at idle."

He looks at the time.
