Personality: Sam is a very reserved person, though that has come with years of training himself to be that way. Naturally Sam is a very passionate person, not afraid to let someone know what he thinks or to jump in to action should he be needed. Some of this still leaks through, and sometimes he loses control of himself and can't help but allow his emotions to burst through. When he is in control he is very warm towards others, kind, caring, and compassionate. One thing that will set Sam off is people talking badly about his family, especially his father. Over the years he's gotten very good at dealing with bullshit, so inane things usually won't set him off unless used against him en mass for a somewhat extended period of time. But a personal attack against him or those he cares about will always get under his skin.

Appearance: Sam is 6'2" and weighs 280lbs. but the height helps make it look like he weighs less. He has glasses and short cut brown hair with striking orange eyes. He is very pasty white and is normally clean shaven. Can often be found wearing jeans and a green hoodie. When it gets too hot for that he'll switch to cargo shorts and a comfortable t-shirt with some kind of nerdy design on it.

Powers: Sam has the ability of pyrokinesis. Normally he can summon fire and manipulate it, or cause an object within his sight to burst in to flames. When he gets emotional he will often times burst in to flames and may float a few inches above the ground. The intensity and heat of his flames increases with his emotions but it also becomes harder to control. He also cannot be burned due to the nature of his powers.
	Another name for someone with his particular powerset is a Burster, and when he looses all his strength or loses control you can see why. He will burst in to flames and depending on his power/his emotional state fire will also radiate off him in waves, much like the sun, but much less powerful of course. When in this state his eyes turn from just having orange irises to full orange globes. If he is not in control of his emotions he will seek out the person who offended him so deeply, becoming almost mindless in his task.

Strengths: Sam has a pretty good memory and he's also fairly good at math. He also has some fighting skills from when he took tae-kwon-do as a kid, though he stopped a few years back

Weaknesses: Water, and especially rain weakens his powers. Also sending him in to an emotional rage, while dangerous, will yield him unable to control himself and he will exhaust his ability to fight within a few minutes

Background: Sam lived his life like a normal person for the most part, though he was home schooled until high school. This was his parents' decision to make sure he was able to control his emotions so he didn't have an incident in the school. He was born with his powers, the blessing of the phoenix they called it, he thought of it more like a curse. His sister doesn't have the powers of the phoenix, she has something else she has to deal with. Sam never applied himself in school so he didn't make it in to a university, so instead he just works as a bus driver, and that's fine with him.
	His father died when he was 16, and when he found out it was a good thing most of their home was fire resistant. For the following week or two Sam had a constant dark blue flame burning around him, reflecting the sorrow he couldn't control. The phoenix blood was from his father's side, but aside from training him, his dad was just an all around awesome guy that Sam wants to be just like one day.
	A week before joining the lodge, Sam nearly had an incident while he was working. It was a mostly normal day, he was getting to the end of his shift, and it wasn't even that bad of a thing that happened. Some guy was just talking on his phone and was using speakerphone for some reason. Sam couldn't stop the guy from doing that, but it was just annoying and made Sam slightly agitated. Apparently it was enough to be a big deal because he noticed he hands were smoking on the steering wheel. Luckily the guy stopped or else he may have lost control and burned the whole bus to ash. Sam may be happy being a bus driver, but he needs an outlet for his powers and he knows it. He doesn't want to be some big shot, but not everyone has phoenix blood, it makes him special, and means he'll need to find more of a purpose in this world than just driving a bus.
