Name: Cledwynn Magouloura (Cledwynn represents his human counterpart, with Magouloura representing his arcane spirit counterpart.) Species: One part spirit, one part machine, one part organic human matter. ... It's complicated. Age: [s]This time, he's[/s] 20. Appearance: [s]Oh boy..[/s] Cledwynn is a complex figure. His lower half is an intricate little concept, his upper.. slightly less so. His upper half is completely ethereal, appearing transparent (only somewhat see-through) to the human eye. This upper half boasts a very strange body type, since though it looks average, it contains three long devil's tails stretching out from it in a triad just below his neck. This is usually covered up though- the tails will wrap around his neck like a choker, or around other body parts to simulate accessories. His hair is ethereal as well, and it appears to look mostly like slow-moving liquid or goo, with its length traveling to just below his upper backbone. The hair cannot cover up the aformentioned neck-tails, however- the tails are not ethereal. The transparent half of his body is still colored like a normal human's, however, and he wears clothes over this- a light blue turtleneck that's just a little too big for him, as well as a pastel purple scarf that's worn loosely around his neck. And now his lower half. Cledwynn's lower half, starting at the belly button, is completely mechanical. He has two legs like any other human, but they're fake, made from synthetic steel alloys to simulate real legs. They're well built to get the job done, though there are openings within each joint that allows one to see the intricacies and wiring within. In color, they appear as a worn grey. However, Cledwynn wears black sweatpants over them, possibly to match the "clothes are just a little too big but also kinda poofy" motif. He does not wear shoes, he needs his feet free for propulsion purposes. Finally, if you were able to peer inside him (which required removing his upper clothing) one would see a beating human heart and a functioning brain. The devil's tails connect to his heart and are a primary source for his ethereal life- they must circulate blood where his (nonexistent) veins cannot, and he risks fading from existence if the tails cannot do this. They are also very sensitive and easily damaged or hurt. His brain and heart can only be seen, however, should he choose to make his form look less visible to the human eye. Personality: Luckily he has his brain and heart. Cledwynn is a little reserved and tends to be regretful, especially when touching on his memories and curse. For a male, he tends to have a motherly aspect about him, and tends to settle disputes through activities that cause no physical harm, such as playing a fighting game or politely debating over a nice cup of whatever beverage the debatees prefer. However, he can also be rather dense, oblivious, and blunt about how he feels, even if he doesn't have all the information on a given situation. If, though, he has information, he can be very analytical and technical, and it shows in his work with machinery, which did not leave him as he traveled from person to person. History: Cledwynn lived as many an unknown name. During his first birth he was named Cornelius Nasiade, and grew up as a very pompous and spoiled adult. During this time, he meddled with godly issues by pretending to be a god himself, thereby angering one of the many true gods of his timeline, who in turn inflicted him with not only death, but a curse as well. The Curse of Absent Reincarnation. Cornelius died at the hands of an angry god, but due to the curse, he was reincarnated as someone else unknown to the world. The curse, though he didn't know it yet, was on him eternally- and its purpose was to reincarnate him as someone insignificant every time he died, and have him placed in a random position within the universe with the intent that he would have to suffer the pain of death for eternity. He would also be forced to remember each person he once was, and each time that version of him died. As a sign of amusement, three devil's tails were placed just below his neck as a constant reminder of the curse. Often times he would be placed within something like a wall, or the Sun. Sometimes he'd be placed several meters underwater and die soon after, only to be placed in a desert afterwards. When, finally, he was placed in a somewhat stable living condition, he first consulted another god concerning the curse, and was given an ersatz black magic to fight it. This magic was intended to go directly to him, and it would counteract death and the curse, though he would have to live on as a spirit. Instead, he devoted all his time to creating something that would aid him, which, initially, was a mechanical body that could withstand death, thinking that if he imbued his heart, brain, and the black magic into it, that he could compromise its drawbacks and live forever. During this, though, he contracted an illness that stopped him from working, and decided to end the project early, donning the unfinished mechanical body as his legs. The illness killed him, but thanks to the aforementioned arcane arts, he was brought back as part machine, thanks to the mechanical legs, and part spirit, due to the magical essence in him. In this death, he was brought back in a random part deep within space. Now he lives as Cledwynn Magouloura, a tourist of the worlds, multiverses and stars. How did you get here?: Quite literally was spawned into space, and found the Restaurant during exploration of the infinite starscape. Brief description of the world your character came from: Cledwynn lived initially as Cornelius in a reality where regions feuded with one another over both political debates and preferences of which of the several hundred gods to follow.
