Everyone knows of it's legend, so much so that most write it off as rumor, fairytales to give the wretched hope, to inspire the soldier, or to ease the burden of fear - that maybe one day someone will find it and they too, could ask a wish from it's infinite well of magical energy. It's said that a dragon's soul was trapped within three rings, shackled to be imprisoned forever, but if you find it and free it - you will be granted one true wish with no limits, for the soul of a dragon can unleashed even the power of the gods. ... but that's not quite true. While this role-play will revolve around the relic's power, it must be explained before you dive too deeply into the idea of it's myth. It does not grant wishes as the legends say, but instead, it shackles those that seek it - to one another. This role-play is heavily inspired from the show Sense8. It will begin with all of our characters having found the artifact at basically the same time - for their own reasons - and as it activates, each character finds themselves mentally linked to one another. The characters can react as they wish, but this link allows each character to (sometimes without willing it) 'visit' each other mentally as if they were physically present. Of course only the heroes connected can see each other, but say Elle visits James, but Mary also visits James mentally - they can all see and interact with one another as well as continue doing what they were doing... thinking of it as expanding their minds in a way. In either case, to a lesser degree they can also sense each others emotions (but not thoughts exactly). Those familiar with Sense8, there is one difference, is they can't share skills directly but are allowed to teach each other, if they are teachable skills.
Rules
• Rules may be subject to change, but will be sure to update everyone. • Be respectful OOC • Listen to all GMs or risk being asked to leave • No god-modding others, including important NPCs, unless given permission • Post at least once a week or give warning of absence - if gone for more than two weeks, you'll be gracefully kicked from the RP
Character Creation Handbook

Currently by the time the heroes find the artifact, there is a war going on between Sheolan and Wresta (in the Kingdoms tab). It appears to be that the current ruler of Sheolan is looking to take over the other kingdoms for unknown reasons, but a lot of people do recognize that he is mad and evil. There is even a strong rebel force within Sheolan trying to overthrow the current ruler, while Otadica secretly helps Wresta and Nakha stays out of it.

Sheolan Sheolan used to be ruled by the Emperor Julian IV, until five years ago when he was killed in front of his son's wedding by a madman named Zeph Tenebris. Since then, Zeph has risen to power by murdering all those in his way and promising power and wealth to those bowing before his feet. Sheolan, also called 'The Empire', quickly turned from a lively wealthy magically progressive kingdom to a land ravaged by bandits, lack of compassion, and military strongholds and factories of airships. A rebellion force has risen from the woman that would have married Henry (Julian's son) if he had not been killed. Her name is Corda. The soldiers make up anyone from commoners to the nobility that respected the previous emperor. Wresta Wresta is country ruled by knights, making a knightdom, with Commander Xavius as the current ruler. The entire culture is based on honor, loyalty, and respect for all peoples and the army is split into knightly orders - the biggest five serving Commander Xavius as advisors. They most openly opposed Zeph and his madness, meeting him on the fields of battle, though they are slowly losing to the airships that dot the skies. Otadica A merchant and seafaring country lead by a collective nobility class of the wealthy. Not as corrupt as it sounds, they none-the-less spend most of their time sailing or fishing exotic fish thus making them the major trade hub. They have the strongest navel fleet as well as the biggest pirate problem. As of right now, they continue to trade with all kingdoms, though they are under heavy regulations with Sheolan. Secretly, they supply Wresta with extra supplies, rooting for the knights to win. Nakha The center of magical research and academies. They mostly keep themselves, even in the current war, and concern themselves more with trying to master the arcane arts. They are famous for hiring out wizards to the other countries for either gold or magical knowledge. They are ruled by the Wizard Council who debate on issues more concerning the magical realms than mortal affairs.

Magic is not split among schools like other settings, like conjuration verse elemental, but instead they are split due to how they function and are evoked. The main categories are Verbal, Somatic, & Divine, though there are alternatives that can be granted by unique means. Verbal and Somatic are sometimes referred to as Arcane magic. Verbal With this type of magic, language and words are power. Easier to learn than Somatic spells, it still requires the user to understand and pronounce the word correctly before the magical effect takes place. While it's only legends and myths, many wizard theorize that this type of magic originated from the Feylands, a place where fairies supposedly come from. Regardless, the language is fluid and almost sing-song, making it a beautiful type of magic, but also both powerful and slightly uncontrollable. More so, bards in particular can manipulate this language in a special way, often able to influence emotions and even heal, which is normally reserved for divine magics only. Somatic This type of magic depends all on the gestures and hand movements, making it more difficult to master than Verbal magic. However it allows for more fluid magics and silent spells, being a favorite among those that fancy themselves the more quiet type among the magic community. Once mastered, the main advantage over Verbal is control, better able to fine tune the amount of power and effect of a spell. Divine Usually set aside for those that fancy themselves clerics or paladins of Vis, a mysterious, magical, and ancient deity. Almost also pure of heart, these individuals claim they have had some sort of strange encounter with this speechless deity. Having been given visions and tasks, they suddenly find themselves able to use this unique magic that revolves around healing and smiting the living dead. They are seen as healer, seers, and seekers of evil. This type of magic does not need words nor gestures but is instead summoned by the will of the user. Alternative Too rare and hard to understand, users of alternative magic often find themselves having found a relic, artifact, or something material that has somehow given them a magic that is not usual. While Arcane magic can produce effects such as fire, ice, unlocking doors, forming golems to fight by their side, or even the creation of magical weapons, this type of magic has been known for the more unusual applications. This can include the ability to speak with animals, hear the whispers of the wind, produce energy bursts from only blades, teleporting, or even manipulating gravity. This type of magic also comes from will, but is the rarest form of magic.
